Armada ARV ski size?

Yeah so i'm around 5'9" so like 175ish cm, 150ish lbs, and i know I'm gonna get the Armada ARV 94s from last season, 2023-24, but I'm torn between getting the 171 cm or the 178s. I'm advanced and can ski anything and will mostly be using them all mountain, both trees, moguls, groomers, backcountry, whatever but i'm trying to dabble in the park more, hitting some spins past 360 and hopping on rails more. I ski mostly in the NE, and Basically just wondering if the 178s would be too much ski for me cuz i'm under the impression they are sort of generally the better choice. I know it's like personal preference or whatever but i don't have one cuz i haven't played around that much w different lengths. Anything would be helpful thanks!

I’m 6 foot tall 170 lbs and also ride the NE I ride a few different pairs of skis ranging from 171 on3p mangos to 180 armada strangers and I would say it depends if your going to ski almost exclusively all mountain then maybe I would get the 178 but for a more comfortable and versatile fit I would go with a smaller size but in the end it all comes down to preference

178 But you should check out some other skis too. The ARV 94 is pretty park-centric.

Since you’re using it for park I’d go 171 so that it’s slightly shorter than your height. Makes it easier for spins and maneuvering and rails. Park skis in general you wanna be a bit shorter than your height.

It is personal preference. 178 cm is pretty much perfect for your size so I doubt that you would feel it is too much ski.

yeah you're right between the two sizes. i'd say 178 but go with your gut. since you're a good skier the only thing that makes me think you should even consider the 171 is trees but i don't think that's a huge concern. and if you're still growing it makes it an even easier decision to go with the 178

oh also i just remembered, in armada's case that 178 ski will actually measure with a tape measure to about 176 which is basically your exact height. so i say it's an easy choice-- 178cm model
