chubbspetersonOn3p is the most core company that sacrifices profit over quality and care for doing what they think is right by keeping things small and made in the US that exists in the ski industry and they’ve been doing it for almost 15 years. If you don’t want to support that cause you think you’re too cool go for it. The skis rip and everything across the board has gotten more expensive to make in the last few years. People that can afford and want a custom ski really help keep the company going, and if you don’t want that the factory finds always have great deals when they are around.

SessionMy guy, you literally made the thread.
NSCrip69Right, I did, with the purpose of discussing alternative brands. I never once said anything bad about ON3P or insulted people for what skis they use. Yet all the ON3P owners have showed up insulting me for no reason. But Ive stayed true to myself and will continue to do so regardless of what ppl wanna call me.
SessionYour title is "overpriced" and "overhyped". Your first alternative suggestion wasn't even in the same ballpark. But keep staying true.
NSCrip69Calling a product overpriced and overhyped isn’t always a negative thing, and more importantly was never a personal insult towards another human (like what I’ve received from others here). A product can be good but still overpriced. Regardless I am here to discuss skis, you can call me any insult you want but I’ll stay true to my morals and always treat other humans with respect.
also I’d say my suggestion was on point. Wildcat is a similar flex ski and similar shape with exact same mounting point and width.

hamsauceCool, but I still don't really see the point of complaining about the price of a ski and recommending a ski that isnt even $100 cheaper.
Let's equate apples to apples here, MSRP Moments barely cheaper than MSRP Jeff's.
On sale moments (ski burger) are literally the same price as factory finds Jeff's.
I think it's cool to discuss other brands, but calling ON3Ps overpriced when you literally can not name a single ski of similar quality/performance/customer service that is more than $100 cheaper is just rage bait
you would have gotten a better response with a thread titled "Affordable Alternatives to ON3Ps". I know I would have recommended some skis that fit into that category and contributed to your thread, but instead I chose to defend a brand I love and has treated me well for 10+ years on a claim that makes zero fucking sense.
Lenny-After 10+ years of buying skis from the same brand are they throwing you discounts on all their products yet?
What exactly are they doing for you that gives you the impression they treat you well? Do they give you a bunch of free extra goodies with your skis? Does the owner write you a thank you card with a cute little heart on it?
I ask because Vishnu does all of this and more.
hamsauceYes, factory finds every single spring. Without fail.
Lenny-Factory finds is not a sitewide discount on "all their products" for being a loyal customer for 10+ years. It's discounts on the products they couldn't sell. Saying "yes" and citing factory finds feels disingenuous, I'm not interested in anything else you have to say.

ParkingLotPissI feel ON3P wouldn't have such a devoted fan base if they weren't making stellar products. I've never had a pair but the only time I've heard people say anything bad about them is on NS, everyone I've talked to in real life loves em.
but the real issue is they are releasing some of the ugliest top sheets I've ever seen.
stonedbrianwhats your least favorite (recent) topsheet?
ParkingLotPisshonestly not a fan of the whole format. I don't like how they break the graphic up into sections and leave the area around the bindings basically blank. and then on the area where they do include graphics, they're all pretty lame. The Jeffery plane graphics are pretty bad (last year they were super corny, so they've gotten a bit better). why airplanes? And their logo always seems like its just slapped on top, also pretty ugly logo, just a further eye sore. the woodsmen are pretty boring, mountains on skis is kind of low hanging fruit.
my theory is its just a scheme to get people to buy the custom skis.
the wood veneer stuff is sick though.
I'm just hating but it definitely stopes me from buying their skis.

SessionThe effort you are putting in to comparing a ski manufacturer with real overhead to someone ordering skis from China and selling them out of their basement is amusing.
Lenny-It's crazy how the guy selling skis out of his basement is doing a better job running a ski company than everyone else. It's amusing to me that so many morons overpay for skis because of good marketing. I can't imagine being fooled by a bunch of dumb Portland cunts, but I guess you don't have to. Keep overpaying, I've got a bank to laugh to.

SteezyYeeteri am not buying antifa ahh skis
Lenny-I feel like if your ON3Ps last more than 2 months it's probably because you just aren't very good, probably skip some rails.
NSCrip69Facts. Everyone talks about ON3P durability but fails to recognize that the demographic of people buying ON3P aren’t using them in the park. “Pound for pound” if you compare durability of an ON3P to any other mainstream brand, durability would be the exact same. Edges would be first to go on any brand. People act like ON3P is made of otherworldly materials and their marketing department deserves a raise for that.

hamsaucePoint me to how their marketing team is saying anything different than Line, Faction, Armada, etc. EVERYONE says "made with durable XYZ built well". There is a reason why ON3Ps have the reputation they do- the same reason why factions and Lines have the reputation for being crappy quality. Do you really think Toyota's got their reputation of being durable from their marketing team, when literally every other car company says "built to last"? The proof is in the pudding.
It's not marketing. It is word of mouth. It is reputation. Tell me- have either of you EVER owned and skied a pair of ON3Ps for a full season? Because TBH if you havent owned ON3Ps then how the fuck are you and expert on their durability over many different lifelong ON3P owners getting all the upvotes?
The brain rot in this thread is unreal. I am still waiting for you to address all of the other points I and many others have made in this thread that no one has a response for.
So please tell me-which ON3Ps have you owned and skied for a full season and how long did they last compared to other skis you have owned?
BallClapperLine skis most durable for sure. Right behind k2. Right?
