keagan.karstensI think if ur legitimately skiing super hard with heavy spins/impacts then yes. But otherwise anything works. I’m 6’4 and ski kinda hard and never had issues with my attacks, I did although switch to pivots cuz my comp kid friends convinced me to. If u wanna spend extra money then do it there’s no right or wrong.
jmabesWhat shop did you price match them with?

Disvothanks vro i'm right next to evo salt lake
NSCrip69Pivots aren’t worth it at all. Attack 14’s are half the price and will give you the exact same performance (technically it’ll be better performance since the attack has a lower stack height). You lose a bit of durability since the pivot is all metal but that also makes them a lot heavier. Pivots are a 50 year old design and people only buy them based on their reputation which they have far outlived. Tyrolia and other manufacturers are coming out with innovative designs and actually invest in R&D

NSCrip69Butthurt because you spent your entire monthly allowance on overpriced pivots? It’s ok sport, only 14 more days until you get your next allowance. You’ll be fine.
jmabesWord, it would be a game changer if they were price matching sites like bob leisure
NSCrip69If you have to wait until you get paid to be able to afford Pivots, probably not the best financial decision, sport.

WezDurability is a big one imo, plastic bindings don't tend to age as well.
I find the metal toes on the pivot 15s feel super lush on snow, very damp and solid feel compared to plastic bindings.
Closest runner up is a metal STH16, but they don't quite let the ski flex the same imo. It's all subtle but really adds up to making your skis feel Gucci.
Pivots are expensive comparatively, for a marginal upgrade, but that's like everything in life, towards the upper tiers of anything you get diminishing returns for your dollar. Doesn't stop me running them on my current 3 skis though and staying a die hard pivot fan.

NSCrip69Y’all are definitely not good enough at skiing to be worrying about durability 💀 😭
Just save yourself the money and get attacks lol. Half of the Us Olympic ski team isn’t using pivots because they’re overrated

BallClapperBecause they run what sponsors give them.
1spliff2guinniesI hate myself for somewhat agreeing with the first half of the statement, but for the majority of us, having different bindings would make marginal impacts to our overall skiing. Most of us would never impact the bindings hard enough for all metal to make a difference. The rest is cap though
This
SendyMcSendyfacehaha buttplug binding go brrrrrr
PartyBullshiitIt’s not about that though. It’s the fact that a metal pivot is going to last for YEARS to come. Look how many rossignol versions are still up for grabs 10+ years later that are still very usable. Not gonna happen with plastic bindings.
NSCrip69They’re not usable tho because shops won’t install them and modern boots won’t fit them.
Disvoshut up bruh you is not funny
