Is Look Pivot 2.0 2025 heel using the same holes? And How much is adjustment imprevement?

With the new 2025 Look Pivot 2.0 model 2 questions come in mind to me.
1. Is Look Pivot 2.0 heel using the same holes? Some shops state in their websites that the pattern is different.

2. How much is adjustment improved? Some say it's 20mm which I guess is the same as the old ones and in some websites it's shown as 28mm?

PartyBullshiitHoles are the same. You usually get 7ish +\- on the originals if mounted centered. I havent seen anyone actually mount up 2.0’s and test actual adjustment length. I know a handful of guys who have them inbound atm so should have real world answers soon. Skiing wise they are identical to the original. You just now have the steel cup for poles, rubber bumpers for people who stomp on the heels new din screw, and the larger adjustment range. Internals are the same as the original. Elasticity has not changed at all.

NSCrip69Good news is the brake assemblies are the same so you can reuse them if they break. The heel piece that was redesigned also offers more elasticity than the old version which is a great reason to upgrade.

PartyBullshiitYa absolutely brother. Most parts will swap over without issues. The arm angles have changed and no one has tried to mount up a 1.0 dildo to a 2.0 yet though based off the new angles it likely won’t work. The actual turntable pieces have stayed largely the same which is why elasticity has not changed at all. Same with internals. But brakes, half moons, screws, brake plate etc is all the same as should swap right over no issue. Btw Phil over at ski talk who actually has handled them confirmed months ago the only thing numbers wise that has changed is the amount of travel bsl wise. Nothing performance wise has changed.

I just was qurious because we're one of the few shops in the area that has spare parts and I forgot to ask. Pivots are like the FT shells, they're not investing in big development changes because they practically sell themselves to the right consumer

PartyBullshiitRight on so you already know what’s up. I am curious how a 1.0 dildo lines up with a 2.0 base arms and Vice versa. Curious is some franken pivots can be made. Arm angles seem too far different but never know till someone tries.

SkiBimSo I guess if you say that the hole pattern is the same I can fix my issue.

I currently ride a Pivot mounted for 316 boot that I had before but I went for one size smaller on 305 boot.

Now I ride them as all screwed in and the forward pressure indicator just meets the white piece and I ride like that the last 2 years without issue, but having the extra adjustment will add a bit more confidence that everything is fine :)

Compared to other manufacturers like Salomon and Tyrolia are making actually significant technological advances and improvements in each iteration and at this point they’ve caught up, and in some cases are now superior to Look (in the strive and attack product line).

Relying on reputation is very dangerous for a successful company because it can lead to lack of innovation and complacency, which I think Look has reached that point. And as you stated, people buy these bindings blindly just from reputation without knowing about other bindings that are cheaper and equally, if not better.

SkiBimI was riding Griffon and Tyrolia that almost broke my knees..... I had a lot of pain with them back in the days and I switched to Pivot 4-5 years ago.. And my knees just don't hurt anymore... You can say whatever you want :) I had this shitty Tyrolias that were releasing just as I engaged a jump with no reason.... And I had so much pain learning 360s with these Griffons... Maybe it's just me, but for me the Pivots never pre-rlease and I'm 200% sure they saved me from ACL surgery many times when I should've been in the hospital with my Griffons.... Maybe it's just me, but that's how it works for me...

Anyway I don't think your opinion adds to my original question..
