Whats doing. Has anybody used or know of someone that has used the Surface Attila and can speak on its characteristics and durability etc?
Looks like a bunch of fun from their promo vid but theres barely any other info about it online.
Cheers

isaacwrongSeems like a stiff pow ski. It is a little annoying they don't actually post any side profiles of skis. My royales and giver's were similar in terms of early rise with how gradual it was. However, I found the uppers to be a a lot more rockered like on3ps. My 176's felt wayy shorter than 174 uppers
BrianFItzpatrickWhich ones felt shorter than which ?
isaacwrongMy 176 uppers felt way shorter than 174 givers and even 172 royales
BrianFItzpatrickHeaps more rocker in the tip/tail you think?
skietedavidsonThe Attila's were my dedicated pow ski last season. They float like crazy (as one would hope) and are not super stiff. I think I mounted -2 cm and they felt good there for me as a center-mounter. However, as a lover of soft skis, they were a bit stiff for me to really enjoy in anything but fresh snow. Durable as other Surfaces these days (in my experience, very) but I also kept them off rails.
If you are looking for an all-arounder I would look at the Upper or the Giver, if you want a pow ski get the Attila (or the brand new, even wider Surface Oracle pow ski).
BrianFItzpatrickCheers!
How did they go at slow speeds and were they pretty difficult to initiate turns in tight situations (in trees etc)? The long radius is kind of throwing me off a bit.
skietedavidsonI am probably the wrong person to answer these types of questions because of lack of experience and skill in the trees, but I hack my way around no problem on them. I sized down to 184 for nimbleness (I am 6'4 so they are on the shorter end for me, esp pow skis). The amount of float made everything seem easier tho, even in wet pow conditions. I did not feel any noticeable difference in slow speeds either, but again I did size down for this exact reason, not hitting chutes or using this ski on variable days. As far as tree skiing goes, I am a beginner, and I have loads of fun on them and felt very confident because of the float, they will go anywhere you point them. Did I mention float?
BrianFItzpatrickyeah cheers for that.
what kind of weight are ya ?
