Hey Lenny

They went almost out of business, didn't produce any skis for 2 or 3 seasons and are now back in production. I'm still riding old versions of the TD-series (89,105 and 125). They now have a 99 version as well.

105 is my go to model for park and pist, really fun and buttery ski. 89 is quite stiffer and I use them only for pist and pipe (keep the sharp edges). 125 for deep pow days, works a charm.

All of the old models had really bad topsheets, they were chipping like hell and I felt quite bad about the plastic pollution while using them... I don't know if they could solve this problem with the "new" skis...

If you can get them cheap you won't regret it i would say. For me the new designs are not as good looking as some of the old ones.

i tried the throwdown 105 some years ago. loved the ski and the graphics. Quite soft and very nimble. i would like a pair if they made some good graphics

I really like the shape of the Countdown’s but don’t think I’d buy a long radius freeride ski that weighs 2000g. No problem with 2000g skis or big freeride planks but I don’t think those two attributes complement each other.
