Yo! I will start off by saying I am not quite ready to release footage of the game - it's still cooking. For now I will leave you with some links so if you're interested in a new ski game you can follow along.

just confirming you got the rights to use the art, name, likeness, etc. of B&E right? lol would hate to see some lawsuit shut down the game

Me too! I will do my best, and will always listen to community input to make it better especially as I am aging and getting dusty. I am making the game I always wanted to play, but I think that interest aligns very well with the freeskiing crowd. I think/hope it will be passable and fun at the beginning for a small demo. I believe anything is possible and it will improve consistently every month as long as I am able to work on it and also collab with others.

I have all ready built a custom character system that will allow just that. I probably won't work on it more for the demo though, but it was really important to have it working and built before I made other systems that tie in with it. You may either see a simplified version of it or just the B&E characters for the demo.

I hope this this is a plan for the future, but I feel like this game needs player customization like how Shredsauce does it. I don't want to be locked behind using only a goblin and a dog as my characters, I want to be able to have whatever skis i want, whatever clothes I want, whatever grabs I want, etc. Will there also be a map editor in the works?

Set your worries aside. Yea map editor planned, but won't be starting it for it quite a while. It's a big project in its own right.

Demo is more or less going to be the main test for feedback and importantly how it runs on various machines. I started testing with a very small group and will open it up a bit as it goes. Right now I am aware of mostly what I need I need to do before it goes further so I don't see the point in having to communicate to more people involving feedback atm. As the game is more rounded out though I will need a shit ton of feedback and will open those gates.

Essentially need to finish a couple more systems with less bugs and smooth a bunch out, but they (all systems) are flexible to adjust everything so that will be the time to test is when people mess with stats and fine good balance of realism and fun.

Sorry for spam - one more thing. best chance to get into testing early is on discord since im hanging out there everyday and that is where private areas are to keep all tester feedback in one spot.

Be cool to have some other pros in there too, almost like a Slvsh video game haha. “Defeat henrik in Slvsh 150 times to unlock his sweatshirt”

Here is a little progress video I put together just kinda threw random clips (timeline order) in quickly. I started off knowing no idea how to do anything and could probably get to this point in half the time if say I started gamedev making a FPS or some shit. It's a very rewarding process. Many days of almost breaking electronics over my forehead but when you figure problems out it releases a feeling like dropping that first 30 footer or whatever. Not saying this will be an amazing game or anything but I want it to be very much so.
