Replying to Connections at Hyland Hills?
Been spending more and more time in the twin cities and growing a liking to Hyland.
Nothing gets me more stoked than fast laps on a sick park with a rope tow. Though, the one thing that always seemed to be missing was a super nice consistent table-top or step-up jump on a rope here in the Midwest.
I went early January two season ago and the mid-sized jump at Hyland was super sick. An actual proper table top. Then last year it was way too big built as a step-down with not enough speed for its size. I remember back in my day seeing some sick edits of Hyland's jump with some proper tricks (Cody Ling, Willie Borm, Skier Steve throwing down to name a few).
Does anyone here work as park crew at Hyland, or know of any of the crew that builds the jumps? I know it's possible to have a good, consistent jump here in the Midwest again. A proper step-up or table causes less impact forces (and therefore safer) leading to more confidence and progression. Would love to see a resurgence of jump riders out of the midwest!
