I definitely thnk the democrats went about it the wrong way. I feel bad for what happened with Biden but the party could have at least let the delegates vote for a new runner instead of Biden endorsing Kamala on Twitter.. It all was just done very unprofessionally. But then again I disagree with hiring people based on gender and sexual orientation which is all the Biden admin did. The entire 4 years was a trainwreck.

Trump’s numbers tonight show his platform eating up “safe” democrat voting bases; young people, Hispanics, blacks, organized labor, etc. This is legitimately a borderline demographic shift between the parties which have been stable in their bases since FDR. It’s hard to understate how big this actually is and the GOP knows it and is ready to capitalize. Trump calls himself a populist but it’s time for a real populist in 2028.

Democrats haven’t run a good candidate since Obama, they have completely lost touch with working class voters and have abandoned all of their populist positions like health care for all, cheap education, and the anti war movement.

Minor tangent: Despite Trump being a putin fanboy, he didn't give Russia an easy time. I suspect that if Russia had invaded Ukraine with Trump in office, Trump would be Ukraine's biggest supporter. But because the democrats were in charge and supported Ukraine, Trump feels the need to oppose them.

I never made excuses for this. Maybe you're confused by someone else. I think trump lost in 2020. Not everyone who voted for trump is a maga supporter. We just know someone who did nothing as VP for 4 years, had the lowest approval rating in VP history and had absolutely zero plans was the wrong choice.

Compared to any other time in the past 30 years, the middle east was pretty damn peaceful under trump. Minimal fighting in Afghanistan and a plan to get our guys out. Palestine and Lebanon were only sorta trying to erase Israel. ISIS was knocked out and the Syrian civil war cooled down. Yemen was mostly just fighting itself instead of attacking every ship in the red sea. Gulf states normalized relations with Israel.
Of course Trump can't be credited with all of that, but the middle east was in much better shape 4 years ago than it is now.
