Fuck ABD Hate, Bring on Deliberately Biting Enders
I would much rather people deliberately find other pros' spots and son them, tag them in the video. Someone hits a frontswap to forward so you find the spot and hit a backswap to sw, fuck em. Most pros are chill they'd probably think it's funny too. Find your local ender and embarrass ur fav street skier. Also kinda running out of NBD spots year by year since there are just limited cities that receive snow and most of them are smaller than places like LA or NYC
ABD hate is pretty warranted in most cases I’d say. Still a lot of spots out there as well, just gotta find em. I don’t think many riders do their homework and keep up with street videos dropping ( as well as rewatching them) year after year to see what’s been done.

This wasn't really what I was trying to say. Like I know Andy P was pissed that keegan bit two of his spots from zootspace (intentional or not, honestly doubt keegan watches ski videos) but like instead of being pissed it would be way cooler if andy just hit a sw to sw on keegans ender rail. That's moreso what I was talking about.

This spot thing is taken way too seriously, same way the song thing is. If someone one upped your trick on the spot, just go back and claim your king of the spot back. I don't see why it would be disrespectful to hit a spot someone else hit.
I hope some maniac will do a street cut with clips only from spots that are other peoples ender clips. I would call it The Ender of enders.
Slowbroone upping someone’s trick has always been acceptable no? Seems like healthy competition to me.
and living in Calgary (probably Denver too) finding nbd spots is impossible every ski crew has been through here
I have not found an NBD in Denver metro and usually poke around on Google maps for 1-2 hours every day. There was a quad kink by my apartment that was constructed last summer and by October it was ABD.

ngl I would be pissed too if someone did two tricks from my retirement part in their monster video

"Retirement part" doesn't protect ur spots for you, being the fuckin goat and hitting shit no one else will actually does.
And I do feel for andy because those were two incredible finds and banger clips. Usually an ABD is like a rail that everyone and their mother hits but those ones did kinda feel a little more personal (also the fact that it was two is def suspicious).
But that's why one of Andy's friends has to go one up keegans ender rail, because that would be so much sicker than just being mad about it.
Nobody owns any of these spots, you dont get a medal for hitting something first, you get a clip and a claim until someone outdoes you, then it's theirs.
Keegan didn't add anything when he hit them so they're still Andy's IMO, but if someone pops a wallie 2 on to that blue kink rail, it's not Andy's anymore! And thats just something I think is sick. History is cool but so is making it lol

Oh that makes complete sense. Would be fucking hilarious. Lil bit of retaliation.

What are some videos that come to mind? I’m curious cause I’ve been google map scoping Calgary area lately and been finding some pretty cool ones that I haven’t recognized in any videos. Granted I’ve found ones that look familiar but more often than not I’m not recognizing spots.

There’s one Tom Wallisch season edit that was filmed here, a good bit of Network by Stept was filmed here, and Pretty Good by Rage Films has an Alberta segment. Leigh Powis’s part in The Grand Bizarre has a lot of Calgary spots too
i know the child labor and jetskis crews have been here too.
shit ton of local street skiers like real media and 403media crews

ABD spots are chill for the most part but you definitely can’t do the same trick. If theres too many ABD spots in one vid that would be shitty but i’ve never seen that happen tbh.
Occasionally I do get bored of specific tricks that get played out tho like when theres a closeout to drop everybody just handdrag 3’s over it lol.
How do y’all know what’s been hit before? Rail is rail
unless it’s something out of this world that’s super recognizable, but idk how people can see a rail that has no key surrounding features and say “wtf someone already hit that”
Anyone getting pissed because someone hit a spot they found needs to grow the fuck up. Every skier has numerous features under their belt only because they saw someone else hit it first, even the pioneers who watched Mack Dawg.
You want "your" spot treated like a shrine? OK sweet, snap your neck attempting it and done deal. No one will hit "your" spot out of respect and skiing will rejoice in having one less entitled cum rag complaining about stupid shit.

My city has a bigger street scene and all the main rails are named like, Glenmore Elbow, triple drop, godzilla, sunalta quad etc. if you know your city then it’s easy to tell.
also many film crews are based out of either Denver or Salt Lake so I would recognize a lot of Colorado and Utah spots even if I couldn’t name them.
I disagree that rails are just rails. A big part of how a street rail looks is its surroundings and the nature of street rails being in diverse environments makes all of them pretty distinct from each other imo

Andy Parry would gladly berate a 15 year old for an ABD offense against him
Doesn't take away from how insane Keegan's clip was imo. Even the camera angle was the same. I feel like it matters how much time passes in between the clips too. Both clips and both segments still go hard af

doing the same trick is somewhat lame, since it suggests either a lack of creativity or that you never watched the original video. but in general I don't have too much of an opinion since there can be a lot of factors at play. I think the standards should be higher for street skiers who are at the top of their game. But I guess it's probably better to look at things from a more positive angle and just appreciate when you see an nbd spot in a video

Same angle because its the only good angle. Keegan hit it as a quad, Cam hit it as a double kink so what the fuck are you talking about?

that would be so sick, hopefully the jetskis video got some one uppings of keegan:p
I do agree with you, but I think street skiing would be really boring if everyone did the same tricks on the same spots over and over. finding your own way of hitting a classic spot is very impressive and cool imo. I don’t think it’s that deep either and I doubt most people care
Yeah too much ABD hate. If I only hit NBD spot my street part would be one clip maybe too not 5min. Nothing wrong with sharing spot with those that came before us. Many of the spots I hit in Bend OR probably got hit before I even knew people slid rails, no reason I can't go have fun and film a part on them too
Farmville420Lmfao I completely forgot about this but this is exactly what I'm talking about
what was Clayton's trick on that rail? I don't have the attention span or memory to remember every trick ever done at every spot like some of you people.

Dog he says it in the post hahaha
Also the second slide is a video of the trick
