Arriving at Big Snow I was skeptical, is the park really going to be good? Are there going to be long lines? but after skiing there for two days and I can vouch for it. It is an absolute blast to go and it is totally worth going.
Things to Know
-While it may not seem very affordable ($50 for 2 hours) there are ways to get it cheaper. First BUY IT ON SALE. They have sales for holidays (Memorial Day, Christmas, etc.. and special events (they had one for the heatwave a few days ago). They often make it half off so you can buy a 12 hour pass for $100.
-THEY DON'T ALWAYS SCAN PASSES once your inside (you need a pass to get in). While you shouldn't rely on this it was very helpful and I got several free hours because they just didn't scan. However if you still have hours left on your pass you need to be careful and make sure they don't scan you because then your next two hours will start.
-CHECK THIER INSTAGRAM they post park setups, sales, and other events. For example sometimes they have moguls up instead of part of the park, and sometimes they might have private events that make it more crowded.
My Trip:
I drove 5 hours down on a Wednesday from Boston arrived and arrived at about 2. I than skied with my cousin for two hours that day before checking out the mall that day. While the lines were a little long that day (it was a holiday called juneteenth) it was still fun and they had a great range of features from fat tubes, wall rides, urbans bars and dfd's as well as a lot of boxes.
On Thursday I woke up around 10 had plenty of time for breakfast and a quick swim at the hotel before arriving at Big Snow for first tracks. I skied the entire day (getting a free hour because they were barely scanning) and progressed a lot learning to drift slide and back 2 and meeting an NSer called @Kyguyy
On Friday I went to see the statue of liberty (from the Jersey side its about 30 min drive) had four hours left on my pass but was thankfully able to ski for the entire day thanks to kind liftees. I jumped the fence and filmed a bunch.
On Saturday I drove the 5 hours back to Boston.
Big Snow Edit:
I also made my first edit there. Its pretty bad (both tricks and editing) but it would be great if you watched it.
