Mounting patterns or cast on park skis

So I currently have a pair of 4frnt Devs mounted with marker griffons and I want a backcountry setup but can't justify getting another pair of skis and pin bindings. I will only be in the backcountry roughly 5 days a season. Anyway, I was wondering if it would be possible to remount my devs with a cast system at the same mount point or if I would have to adjust the mount point. And if I can't remount my Devs with a cast system then would mounting a pair of chronic 94's with Cast be a bad idea because of lack of edge in the backcountry?
I have also been looking into Daymakers touring adapters but IDK how I feel about them

If you’re only doing 5 days I think Daymakers are the best option. Haven’t used them myself but a friend of mine did for a while and said they were perfectly fine for the occasional tour. Cast is a large investment for how little you would use it. But you could also probably find some used touring setup for the price of a Cast system.

Daymakers 100%
Cast is sick, but not worth the combination of price, remount, and having to rock cast on your park skis for a handful of uphills per year

i bought a pair of the og daymakers used on here and used them probably close to 100 days. def had to rebuild some things but totally worth it! if you already have boots for pins, the new daymakers look like an upgrade from the last version and could be a viable option for ya.

If you really want cast you won't have too much trouble with mounting. Going from Griffin to pivot plays pretty nicely, but you may end up needing to move a half centimeter or so

If it were me I would pull the trigger on the new cast system (which looks like they improved all the imperfections from the 1.0 version) mount them on the Devs. Then I would ride the Devs till they are completely clapped and then take the Cast off to put on a new ski. Yes they are expensive but Its a binding that can last you a long time. Daymakers seem cool but in my mind it seems like a short term solution, which just means you'll end up spending more money in the long run

I agree. I rocked my cast setup as my daily driver, and they got pretty fucked up (toe piece would come loose) after two seasons. Ironically, the only touring I did was to get up to the T-line park in the summer and summer solstice on Illumination. I've switched to the new daymakers and they're ten folds better for the amount of touring I do.

Yeah my plan is to get touring boots and the new daymakers and then down the road get a dedicated backcountry ski with pin bindings
