JalmarKalmarCoolest thing I have ever programmed was "print('Hello, World!')".
That's where my programming journey ended, maybe I should try it again someday.
BallClapperI made a shitty face tracking program to make a meme.
bootspacethat’s pretty sick though, did you like actually create a face tracker or was it through a MediaPipe typa thing
BallClapperI made it.
muffMan.Trying to find time to make an encyclopedia of songs used in edits. basically you search a song and should display edits that used it.
1spliff2guinniesYou're getting replaced by AI any way. Learn to Code aged like milk

VTshredder69This isn't wrong
muffMan.It is very wrong. AI in my experiance miles away from remotely coding anything substantial.
its helped me with mundane tasks like seeding a database or other small things. But anything large it struggles with. It might get it “right” but a huge thing of coding is refactoring and optimizing code as well.
Like above, it will definitely be a tool and a useful one at that, but to produce anything besides static web pages will take a while
VTshredder69Just because you're ignorant doesn't mean you're right. AI is taking over all of these tasks. It's already being used in hedgefunds for stock trading. It'll be coding better tahn humans within the next year or two if not sooner.
bootspacethat’d be sick

muffMan.Yeah I mean it sounds basic but actually asked about a ton.
id probably just take from the other posts about it, then make it open to anyone at first. But don’t know how much it’d be abused.
got other ideas but couldn’t find time with work and ski szn. Now that’s over I might have a bit more time
I guess man but I know people in the industry for 30+ years. They don’t stress about AI much either.
the “learn to code” just oversaturated the job market with bootcamp devs (myself). I got a job after a bit but tons of inexperienced people out there
Bootcamps are insanely easy to pass, but to actually learn from it takes effort. I imagine AI now could replace 75% of my class but would be a while until it gets real good.
