Angioedemaya man I am itching to do anything ski related like trampoline. I even bought some inline skates a few months ago in hopes I could use them this summer. Just had a 8mo post-op and my Dr. and he said I had to wait a full year to anything with pivoting, but should be good to ski after that... so basically I can't do anything other than gym for another 4 months...
I tore this acl early december 2023, on like my 6th day up that szn, and didn't get surgery til september 2023; then starts the 1 year heal process.
My advice for people is that if you yourself suspect an acl tear, don't wait to get screened by an actual orthopedic surgeon. Problem with mine is i got a false negative from my chiropractor and then I wasn't figuring it out that I tore it until a few months later. I had to get all the x-rays and MRI's etc (like 4 appointments) spread out over months as I have a busy schedule) in order to even get referred to an orthopedic specialist. It took the specialist about 3 seconds to check clinically that it was functionally a full tear -> and from then on it might take some time to get a surgery date.
Lucky for me, my school insurance covered the entire surgery, GA and all. Bless up for that!
