Update I landed a backflip on tramp

If you set the same every time you should be fine. Fuck around and find out.

Get the reps up and develop the muscle memory.

Idk how you flip but sometimes people kimd of fling them or jump into it but there heads not really it it. They can land some but its a little dicey.

Like with anything you get both the feel and the confidence. You know exactly how to set it. How to spot your landing. Open up if youre going big. Or tucking if you're under rotating.

It's different on snow but also the same. When youre upside doen you wanna be able to spot your landing nicely and make adjustments. Sometimes on a small jump you just dont go as big as you thought. Or maybe you want to make sure you dont under rotate so you go huge.

Personally the way I flip I tend to pop different and get a decent amount more air than a straight sr. Also when you're hyped up it's easy to get sendy.

Having them down dialed on the tramp just makes it a ton easier.

I could front flip when I was pretty little but I was prolly 12 or 13 before I got them on the tramp.That backwards rotation is weird.. i thought id never get it. Couldn't do one into a pool even. Getting trampoline helped a lot. After doing them pretty regularly I got them dialed where i felt really comfy in the air.

I think they feel pretty similar. Obviously skis its a bit of a gainer. But if the jump is kimda poppy it feels like you send it upward same as a tramp. Spot your landing etc.

Do as many flips as you can and also at different places, on the tramp, at cliffjumps from different heights etc. Once you get a feeling for the rotation and know when open up or tuck your ready i think.
Then try it in the pow.

Getting comfortable on a tramp is key. Put in the reps. Get double bounced and learn to lay it out. Learn to do one without a bounce. The idea is to learn to get comfortable in the air upside-down. The more time you spend in the air the more aware you will be of what your body is doing. This helps to learn when to bail when taking it to snow.

first time i did one was on a atv tow in on some lawn and i back slapped so hard (small jump). Don't over-rotate, backflips really arnt that hard. Similarly to doing a 360 on a 40' jump, but unlike 360, you can't just shifty to 540.

You should learn to set it fast and slow and learn to control the rotation at different speeds.
