im tired of people saying you cant go way in front of the factory line. ive done it with qsts, benchetlers, and black ops, outsiders and they all ski great and i take them everywhere. ill ski any cliff any steep any rail whatever /claim. i think you guys think too much about it.
fabbecan someone google translate this back to finnish and see what tf this means gangily. i dont understand this horrendous grammar... and i thought the finnish was supose to be one of the most proficient english speakers, outside of the the people who has it as their first language of course.
Voyage86ok ok, try your best to explain why this wouldn’t work in anyway. notice the only thing that has changed is the tail after the contact patch. this mock up right here is exactly what i want, so please go ahead and tell my why this works against itself. (the top ski in both views is unchanged)

Alright.....I'll give you one. To make a ski hold well (carve) you need it to be very strong torsionally (metal, stronger core materials, heavy) To make skis really playful, softer, lighter (less or no metal, lighter core materials). It's working against itself bub.
How is your sidecut idea different than the BO98. Which balances edge hold and being playful

not sure where you got the notion that this ski needs to be light and playful, that fischer ranger is 2000g and has metal, plus the extra tail in my mock up so call it 2050g. I really don’t like light skis. my idea is different than the bo98 because the center of the radius is basically at the skis center. it’s very clear from the image there that that isn’t the case on the bo98.
Farmville420Every rail lord that i know rides -2.5cm minimum, the best rail skier I know rides factory, you get more out of non sym skis when you mount at the center of the camber, also I ride sw alot and if you ride sw proper you stagger your footing and lean forward a little so it doesn't make any difference. As for rails, I have done some techy rail tricks on skis mounted -4.5cm, trust me I'm not trying to be condescing asshole I just truly believe it doesn't make a difference at all
and then my idea comes in, why don’t ski manufacturers just make the center of the camber and the center of the side cut closer to center, especially on park skis. more comfortable in the air and more comfortable on piste. vast majority of us are mounting between center and -4 for park anyway so why not put the side cut and camber in that area. my head oblivions side cut and camber center is at -8 which makes absolutely zero sense for a ski that 90% of people will ride near center. now no one would need to compromise park and piste performance.

I think I confused you, it’s torsional balance. You’ll get there, keep wishing for something better.

sorry, i think i confused you, I don’t want any of those things, if i did i would already be on a pair of mirus cors or season kins. i want sturdy and damp. i never said i wanted any of those things so i’m not sure where you got the notion that i did. so with this new information, please tell my why my concept wouldn’t work. plus even with their lighter, softer more playful cores and therefore less torsional stiffness, the mirus cor and season kin rip carves. they just loose alittle high speed stability. not sure where you got the notion that soft skis can’t carve well.

I think I said, in your words, you can’t have both sturdy and damp while having light and playful.
You…. I got my notion that soft skis can’t carve after watching you….
