In nyc many of us grow up playing a street game called handball. They play this anywhere else?

Think tennis against a wall but you use your hand and a rubber ball - it’s a game that got popular here during the depression when people used to play for 5/10 cents to make ends meet. Today gambling is still a big part of it with much higher sums.

that actually sounds difficult. I would wiff every damn hit, especially with my left hand

Schools in LA often have courts for this. Most kids play it with a kickball though since it's way easier
