Help me choose new skis

Or maybe even Armada Stranger?

Ideally I think a narrower ski that can handle hard snow conditions would be best since I already have a Jeronimo with a 101mm width but I am open to all suggestions! Thank you.

The stranger wouldn't be a bad choice, I have a friend who uses them for everything outside the park on the east coast and he loves them. Dynastar M-Free could be a good option too. Liberty origin would be great, those have a nice degree of stability while still being playful and nimble.

never ridden them but the on3p kartel 96 is supposed to be quick in trees, also has considerable tail rocker so switch wouldn’t be an issue. flex is medium-stiff so you could probably still drop cliffs even with the 96 underfoot

What about a Jeffrey 96 custom. You’ll have to opt for the 100 and at the end for instructions ask them to do a 96. Been looking into a new set of 96 and a 108 for east coast and occasionally a west coast trip. I have the Jeff 100 but I ran into the same thing. Tight trees and ice I need something narrower in my line up.

I am looking to expand my quiver, I already have a bunch of park skis and a pair of ON3P Jeronimos that I use for all mountain/park.

I ski in the EAST COAST so lots of ICY/HARD SNOW CONDITIONS. I am an ADVANCE TYPE 3+ SKIER and can ski everything but I’ve never owned anything other than dead center park skis with dull edges.

The thing is when I go skiing with my friends, they don’t like to do park laps. Which is fine with me because instead we explore all over the mountain and I can improve my skiing in different aspects.

I would like the ski to be able to HIT SIDE JUMPS, do some TIGHT TREES RUNS and I like to GO FAST and do FUN CARVING. I also like to LAND SWITCH and do 180’s and 360’s so ideally i’d like something I can throw around and not too much swing weight. I love rails and butters but that’s not what I intend to use the ski for.

I am 29 and 5'10, 150 pounds pretty LIGHT SKIIER but I like to CHARGE HARD and drop off cliffs.

I would like something that can hold an edge, but nothing like a full race ski. I would like to have a little playfulness, but not like a real park ski. I want a FUN ski, that is very important.

After looking at a lot of reviews, my main contender is the Line Blade. I would also like to know if anyone knows how they compare to the Line Blade Optic 96.

I was also looking at the Salomon Stance, Volkl Blaze, Armada Declivity, Atomic Maverick, Dynastar M-Pro, Liberty Evolve/Origin, Blizzard Rustler 9, Faction Dancer 2, Nordica Enforcer and maybe twin tips like Head Oblivion, Black Crows Camox/Captis or Dynastar M-Free.

The Deviation Radian. 180cm, 15m radius, hella camber, Stiff asf.
This skis needs a lot of power to ski well, it doesn’t do too well at low speeds. But get it Carving at speed and it becomes so lively but always stable asf. I describe it as my freestyle race ski

If it’s hard pack they ski and land switch good. But If it’s soft, they don’t have enough tail rocker for switch takeoffs. Also depends where you mount them

Should check out the nordica unleashed 98. I got on a pair this season and I've been pleasantly surprised by them. Perhaps not the lightest ski out but can definitely handle a variety of terrain. For example I just skied 15 inches up at jay but I also took them down to mad river earlier this season and blasted trees with them. Also look into the fatypus l-toro if you want a lighter more playful ski
