eheathMy only thought is theres a huge difference between being 25-30 and 30-35, just speaking from experience. When i was 25-30 i would hit the bars, stay up late, meet new people, etc. 30-35 I stopped going out, stopped staying up late, only hung out with people I knew, etc. Life changes quickly.
Also, now days the odds of someone having kids at 30 is far lower than it used to be, so I can understand what you're seeing there.

JmckRUpdate:
100% made the right decision. What I didn't mention on this last post is that I'm extremely tight for money and have been for a long time, due to some rather silly financial mistakes. So even though I hated the job, it was a safe gig and I was finally earning decent money and feeling more comfortable, so leaving it into a new role in a new company was taking a leap of faith.
But yes, 3 months into my new job at it's going great. Loads more variety, better people and overall nicer work environment (literally speaking, the last place was kind of a shithole). I've worked in the oil sands too and going back again in September so earning extra $ bank for the field work too.
JmckRNew Update:
Well, life is trying to kick me back down again. My VW Golf has developed a transmission problem so it's going into the shop tomorrow, I'm kinda fearing the worst. Like serious money to repair it. So since I arrived in Canada my Impreza WRX's engine died in March and now my Golf R's transmission is probably dead.
AND, now I've just been told I'm being kicked out of my apartment end of next month due to problems with the landlord's rent agreement with the complex owner. I think she's fucked something up paper wise and isn't legally allowed to rent the place anymore.
Another bump in this very bumpy road...
partyandBSwith the above being said, i do have some old guy complaints as well lol. last night i was super tired and fell on 2 pillows instead of 1 and i guess i slept straight through the night and now my neck hurts. hoping that some light stretching and getting on my bike will kick that right out but gee willikers is it annoying.
partyandBSwell when you buy racecars you get racecar issues. perhaps a corolla is in your future.
finding a new place can be annoying but sounds like your new to an area so it gives you the opportunity to move to a cooler part of town which can be exciting. gotta take what life throws at ya and enjoy it the best ya can!

1spliff2guinniesBig ups for the Corolla. I see it so many times, people by European cars and then are surprised when the parts are expensive to replace.
KilaTsunamiFunny, I almost made an Unc thread since i just recently turned 30 and claimed Unc status, but looks like we already got one. Happy to be here. Life is great
Loco-Deer-SlayerLife's pretty good. Traded a skiing addiction for a surfing addiction. Tried skiing again and tore my ACL. It's all good doe. Kinda miss the good ol days of the UofU and the 2010-2011 ski season. Other than that happy to not be dealing with the shit show the ski scene UT has become.

BradFiAusNzCoCaGoddamn I am obsessed with skating at 32. Hit me like a lightning bolt recently. Leaning heavy into my childhood hobbies again. Just ordered a rayne longboard too.
I bought this board for distance and cruising but I can already tell I’m going to end up getting back into some downhill…
Goretex_VidalWife's surgery was today and successful; surgeon took out the tumor and a polyp and neither were cancerous after biopsy. Amazing work by her surgeon and she's home already.

VTshredder69Looking at condos like a big boy next week.
skiermanhahahahahaaha spending all that money just to spend more money on condo and HOA fees on property you have no right over. Great move.

StaticI own a few condos, just bought one last month at the base of Copper. HOAs are nearly inescapable these days even with single family homes. Can you see previous sale prices in VT? I would not pay more than they were going for the past few years, lending requirements are very strict right now. You can self inspect a condo to save a lil money, it's easy to check the inside stuff and anything outside is everyone else's problem too. If this is your first place don't get excited and overpay; fuck the sellers. Play hard ball, there is no sign the economy is improving. Know it's a stepping stone and get the cheapest smallest place you can stand to live in.
VTshredder69Family has a condo in VT. This is about an hour from NYC in CT where I work. Expensive AF down here but thats why they pay well. Definitely looks like there will be some HOA fees but it's still cheaper than buying a house around here. The property values here just keep going up especially with lots of remote workers from NYC.
StaticWhats the zip code youre looking in?

C.R.E.A.MAre you Airbnb'ing these out? I was talking w/ the Fiance about buying a little condo in Mammoth to Airbnb out, but curious about how the economics shake out and what its like working with Airbnb and a PM.

Staticdamn dude, I just looked it up and zillow is showing a big bump on the graph of a recent increase but a lot of listing have recently reduced list price. Seems like a tricky market, maybe hold out a little longer this year and low ball the people who didn't get their shit under contract this summer. If someone is selling a home they usually have another thing they want or need the money for, they'll break. Don't get fucked and over pay! It's not the end of the world but it will take time to make it up and you'll be stuck wanting to move on with your life waiting for the equity to return! Even if you buy at the fair price today you won't be able to break even for a long time considering the loss on transactional fees, you gotta be the one doin' the fuckin' on these things.

PartyBullshiitWhen traveling for skiing I love southwest. Bags are free and they’ll count your skis and boot bag as 1 bag. I’ve flown into LGA on them a lot. And I use them to go to RNO all the time. They should have decent flights for you
