Sometimes breaks in work are exactly what you need to find out what you really want in life. my personal opinion of course.
JAHBRADORI have been laid off since February and I’m on unemployment. Skied a ton, chilled a ton. Going on impromptu trips last minute when the storms line up, and just chilling bro.
i was a little nervous at the start because i thought i would be bored and have too much time on my hands but it honestly been super fun and the reset i needed before starting a busy summer of work. I would just do it man, especially if you have trips lined up. You’ll know when it’s time to find a job.
VTshredder69Good ole skierman calling someone insecure.
An internet treasure.
Had to throw in your daddy trump for effect!
Some people skip a few leg days, you skipped all of them, homie. You've got the same build as a paraplegic. No wonder your knees hurt walking a mile hahaha. This is too good.

2YearParmesanany of the 30+ crew been furloughed before? the company I'm at is super slow right now and they told me I'll be off the payroll come mid-April, good news is they'll keep me on healthcare plan and I'll qualify to collect unemployment. I already got my resume updated, and have some connections with other companies who have work, but I also have a couple big trips lined up this summer already. I have some money saved up so I guess just lookin' for some advice; do I try to get another job and back to work to keep the cash flow up? milk the government money and take some extended time off? use this as an opportunity to chase some dream jobs? what would you guys do
Yes in 2022 but I kinda saw it coming. The supply chain issues and covid aftermath killed sales at the place I worked at so they were laying people off a couple every month.
It was good timing, right in time to make a last minute decision to go to Momentum ski camp for the first and last time for me

So that pic is from 2023. I've been stairmastering and squatting a lot lately. Will skierman rate my right leg?
I'm trying to figure out if you have a soul or not. I just hit 315 for 2 reps.
Please!!! I need your approval !!!!

BiffbarfI get this thick ass beard hair that won't fuck off. It is seriously as thick as a small wire. Like thicker than an eyelash. I pluck it but it keeps growing back. Super annoying but part of getting older I guess lol
Aiight so TMI or whatever but I'm forever fascinated by this thing. Plucked it again today. Normal beard hair for scale
-Calls someone fat
-realizes they arn't fat but says they have small legs
-tells them they're insecure because they realized the person they called fat isn't fat
-Proceeds to make fun of that persons legs because they didn't realize the arms were 16 inch Hulk Hogan arms.
-Sees the tree trunk legs and calls them 'pathetic'

Talk about pathetic.
Let’s get that flexed calf pic. You’re doing yourself an injustice with the pic you posted. Looking like a chicken leg there. Plump ass upper thigh but a thin ass lower portion. lol. A angles suck for pics.
If only women were as interested in my legs as you fuckers on this ski forum. lol.
yea yea i'll take a calf pic... you guys are convinced my legs are small but you don't realize my arms are just super large.

lol damn. your leg hair may be able to clothe 3 Intuits in Saskatchewan. I'm sure those are larger than skiermans so you got a few things going for you.
PartyBullshiitI’m definitely not as tree trunk as you and the hair doesn’t help at all but these angles do nothing for our calves

Love FL and went 4 beach days in November without sunscreen. I went 6 hours in CO without sunscreen and got fried to death. Shit is crazy. My facial hair saved my lover face but my forehead is redder than the devil's dick.
PartyBullshiitYoud thing right. Yet the sun somehow finds it magical way through to cause burns.

And I knew that and still decided to purposely make the wrong choice. But skiing without a helmet / hat, tee shirt and aviator sunglasses just felt so damn good. I'll do it again too.

This weekend I had probably my biggest crash on skis in the last 5 years, definitely since I turned 30. Somehow walked away totally fine apart from a little whiplash. Got bucked by a rogue bump which caught me off guard and sent me absolutely flying, bounced twice, full yard sale, and landed maybe 30 feet down the hill in the trees. Laid there for a moment waiting for the adrenaline to wear off and the pain to come.. and nothing. I have absolutely no idea how I'm okay, but I'm fucking thankful for it.

I have 1 or 2 good ones a year. Always hope for a scorpion cause it always cracks my back perfect and I feel great for a few days.
Apologies for spraying about this in two separate threads, but I'm so hyped on skiing right now. I turned 34 last week, and just stomped three cork 7's yesterday. First time trying them since like 2018 if not earlier. I felt strong all year despite not getting a ton of days, feel like I'm able to muscle through landings and stay strong in chop more than I could in my 20's. It's so good to remind yourself you still got it, just gotta push past the mental blocks sometimes

I broke my neck and back a few years ago so that’s really not what I’m looking for lol. The crash was so longwinded it didn’t even have to happen in slow motion for my whole life to flash before my eyes. Just spent the whole time praying I wasn’t going to smoke a tree and absolutely write myself off, somehow it worked.

Age is but a number. Its all in the mindset you give yourself. I always have a bucketlist to hit when conditions are ideal for sending. Most dont get realises, but thats what next year is for.
At 37, Stomped 6 backflips with 20’ feet of air, 3 flatspins and 360s where I could fit them. Got to land a few 40’ cliffs and put in a 12mile, 4000’ gain tour to check out a potential spot.
My advice is to record everything. You get to look back at your art when the body is no longer able and to relive the great days of skiing in your life.
