So I got some chips on my skis trying to learn Frontside 270. Do you think this is just top layer stuff or do I need to use epoxy? It looks like wood is showing but I’m not sure.

It doesn't look too bad now but it's going to chip away more over time. I'd at least try to get something on there now if you can, to keep water from getting into the core of the ski.

For whatever reason, my skis always end up like this, i think I ride kinda sloppy or something. I just epoxied them the other night but it was probably at least 12 inches of the side of the ski on one side lol
i used to file down the edges of my topsheet on my park skis to try and make them less susceptible to chipping. i never epoxied the chips either just let em be and never had any trouble. Depends how nice you like to keep your stuff
When I get a chip like that I typically just sand it down with sandpaper so it doesn't catch and chip bigger. Epoxy wouldn't hurt but I wouldn't bother personally
