hmm yeah. I'm definitly one of those sleep outside in the parking lot kinda people. except that theres usually a place nearby that I can stay.

And I mean this without any disrespect cuz I think your the man darryl. but if your in it to be pro, or striving to be pro your not in it for the right reason. Being pro happens because your good at what you do. so be in it to get good if thats what you want, or be in it to ski all the time it's up to you.

I hear ya both! Being pro is about bling & bitches, but not as much as everyone thinks, and Amateur is fresh too cuz it's about freedom and control! Eighther way, you're not going to be happy as a skier unless you're truly passionate about the sport. Look at Wayn Gretzky. Do you think he became a pro hockey player so he could pimp mad ho's? No. He did it because he loved hockey, and he got good at it, and it all just sorta happened! Furthermore, do you think he's happy because he's an idol, ane he could pimp if he wanted to? I think not. I think he's fulfilled in knowing that he's done something for the sport that he's loved all his life! So, in closing, my point is; don't be discouraged if you don't go pro, and be happy with your personal goals that you acheive in skiing.

a-basin is full of the fuckers, sleeping in their tents in the parking lot. I mean shit at least sleep in a van, warmer then a tent. Ski bumming is good for the skiing and all but thats about it, unless your total life is skiing and you don't care about nething else then it's good. But if you think about, you spend some time looking for a decent job and once you have that you can ski and live in a house(without wheels). Personally I'd rather give up a few cold nights for a better overall life in the end.

I suppose if your 'soul reason' for skiing is to become famous..then you're in it for the wrong reason, there's nothing wrong with wanting to be pro, or trying to push yourself to that level. It's kinda that bar that you strive for, try to get as close to it as possible.

As long as it's still fun, then i don't see anything wrong with wanting to be pro.

your not allowed to sleep in your cars in like a ski mountain parking lot... they make you leave, my friends did that at the beach, you have to be parked on private property...for example a driveway, then the cops cant tell you what to do.
