Replying to Arcteryxs beanies are the new fleece hats

A guy at the bar proudly showed me he owned every color beanie and Skully from Arcteryx. I almost spat in his face. I STG every wanna-be cool guy rocks them now.
Reminds me of fleece hats. Many years ago, there was a time when fleece hats weren't overworn. They were underground and a few small companies were selling. Now every mf has a fleece hat company and every npc has a four-point generic fleece hat.

Why does this pertain to skiing? because trends are insane and there are so many sheep. If you can capitalize on the sheep then you will be successful. But at what cost? It hurts to see things that are core transition to mass-used garbage that loses all of its meaning and is instead worn as a status piece.
