I’ve never been there and it seems like a sick place. Lots of cool terrain, 50$ day passes, and an A-Basin like vibe. Is it worth the money to check it out for a day??
Some of the best bowl skiing is there, all slow chairs but you can get lift served freeride lines off lift 9. Decent park all rails no jump but well maintained, you can find fresh lines days after a storm because nobody skis there. Huge mountain as well, 1800 skiable acres, free snow cat to some fun chutes and powder. Highly recommend, I’ve never waited in a line there.
It’s pretty sick, got a pass there so been skiing all season, with occasional keystone days.
Nothing is groomed, which I love but I here people hate on it because of it.
”It’s windy” which is another one, again it’s relative to what you’ve done before. I felt bridger had windier days.
Overall it’s a kick ass place to ski, basically no one there, a similar but more family vibe than a basin.
I recommend exploring, but the ridge stuff off chair 9 is fun, Chet’s dream is also solid to hot lap. Park is decent and rails are slick. Wear your thick windproof outerwear.
