Camera handle recs

Been running my fisheye on a gh5 recently. It’s got the smallrig case on it so I just got the smallrig handle for the top. It’s been coming out pretty shaky tho and I’m looking for an upgrade. Wondering if anyone here who uses dlsrs has any recs. Obviously not a gimbal but just a high quality handle.

A different handle isn't going to make your shots more stable, you need a glidecam or gimbal to fix that.

Do you have the gh5 or gh5s? If you have the gh5, do you use the sensor stabilization? it does quite well for small bumps and shakes.

I’ve got the gh5. I turn the ibis off cause it makes the vignette all shaky. Is there another setting I should have on/off?

Ah I see, ya you're probably not going to be able to use it if you have vignette. I used IBIS with my rokinon 6.5mm and my tokina 11-16 and it was a nice lil buff while using a glidecam.

start doing arm workouts and you'll be steady in no time, otherwise you could search around for a gh5 handle you think would be easier for you to hold, but a handle is a handle, assuming it is tight to the camera.

If your ibis and in lens image stabilizers are off it’s just a matter of practicing to keep your arm steady.

best way to stabilize without a gimbal type setup is by adding weight look into a small rig cage and maybe figure out a way to attach small weights to the bottom of it

even better than weights if you have the $$ is getting rails and a battery pack to attach to it like a Core SWX lite
