Found a pair of used 2016 Kartel 106's, giving that i mostly ski park but will ski fresh snow when it hits i want to true center them. on3p's support tech didn't recommend that i true center them because i run the risk of missing the mounting plate. i haven't ever skied a pair of skis that weren't true centered so i don't know how weird it would feel to spin or ski switch. im coming off of 189 wides.
don't worry about it, mount em a little back, people on NS way overdo it with center mount stuff. you'll want some nose in soft snow and it 10000% won't hurt your park performance
You should just pass the purchase over to me and or not ski park on them and let the ski live forever (I’m extremely jealous, would kill for a Kartel 106 as a all mountain daily)
I have Kartel 98s and 116s. The 98s are mounted at -2.5 and feel damn near central. The 116s feel relatively central as well but is noticable they are not true center. I would go -2 for park & mountain use. Center mounting is just gonna kill how the ski rides overall and you won’t see much downside from going -2 or minus 1 if you really want to be almost centered.
Minus 2 I have the 106 and 98 that I still run through park set there. It’s a good balance. Mounted my first set of 98 true center and it skied weird even though I always center mounted. Went minus 2 barely notice it when I ride throughout the park
