Boots too soft or liners blown out?

Typically you don't want to invest in liner upgrades unless you like the shell. But a stiffer liner could be a band aid for the issue.

Perhaps the bigger problem is skiing a touring boot in the resort. Crazy how many people are skiing touring boots in the resort these days. I have a pair of Technica Cochise 130s for backcountry and they ski great, but they are nothing like a good pair of riveted cuff, 2 piece, polyurethane (PU), resort boot

You can get a stiffer liner but the liners only have a few days on them then it might point to the shell being too soft.

I have a pair of head raptors (130 flex) with completely clapped liners. Once the liners were fully packed out they didnt offer good support for my calf and ankle and the boots felt more sloppy and less precise. But, if really leaned into the boots, shell itself would stay stiff and support my foot/leg. Whereas with my old 85 flex boots i could flex right through them even when the liners were fresh.

I think if you feel the the boots are too easy to flex through it might just be the shell. But if you want to keep the shell you could probably try a stiffer liner/tongue and a booster strap.

Yeah, they were my first boots so probably should've gotten alpine boots. I do do 50/50 resort and hiking/backcountry so they're good for that but yeah I'll get a dedicated resort boot for next season. Cheers for the advice mate.

This is true in some cases like dynafit boots, but the Cochise is just the same as the Mach 1 except with tech inserts and walk mode.
