GayWolf420My buddys mom got knocked-out in the liftline of Payday Chair at Park City this season for cutting someone off.
HypeBeastWe need more context. That's insane
GayWolf420It was just an exchange of words that led to some asshole putting hands on middle-aged lady for cutting him off. It was my sisters longtime best friend that we grew up skiing with, and they've been longtime PC locals for multiple decades, raised their family there, etc. Theres a video of it that my friend posted but she deleted it cuz I think a police investigation came about from it.
Funny enough this is kind of a common thing at PC resorts and other Utah resorts. I had a guy put one of my athletes in a headlock during the Covid season for a mask disagreement, and while the kids were being little 17 year old shitheads, you're also the adult of the situation and should act like one. I tried getting the lift-ops team to stop the chair or at least mark it and call for backup but they blew me off, so that pissed me off a little bit and I kinda lost my cool, which Management at PC didn't like at all.
But anyways, this asshole loads the chair in front of my athletes and proceeds to film them and take photos of them which was lame. We unload at the top of Crescent chair and just before we unload, thankfully one of the Foreman's stops the chair to talk with me and my kids which was cool. The Chair starts back up, groups are seperated, and then this dude skis over to this kid and grabs him by his neck as he tries to throw him to the ground. Thank god that foreman was there to break it up otherwise I would've kicked the fuckers teeth in with my Cochises.
Long story short: VR banned my pass which caused me to not be able to work despite still being employed, so I got a labor lawyer involved. It was a really shitty ordeal. Also VR failed to call the police and the family of the athletes self-reported to PC Police about it, so i got to fill out witness statements and all sorts of fun stuff. Idk whatever happened to the guy but I hope he's dead somewhere.
TLDR The community aspect of Utah is extremely dead and its sad to see.

SteezyYeeterputting hands on an elderly woman is insane, especially over a liftline. covid guy is demented, imagine being so scared of a disease that you would assault a kid.
not as gnarly, but my dad used to be an ambassador at sugarbush. once he got put on the lift line duty up at heaven's gate, and if he got interrupted he would lose his train of thought and forget which line was next, so he'd be like "where was I?" so one time these dudes were like "oh it was us" even though it wasn't, douchey move but not the biggest deal. so a guy in the line that was supposed to go was like "aw it was us", not complaining, just kind of a side hand remark. so then the first guy flips off the second guy and goes "nah nah", probably swore at him too, which is just insane. keep in mind this guy is middle aged, just acting like a fucking baby. lowk hate sugarbush lol mrg much better

BigPurpleSkiSuitPeople seem angrier in general this year, maybe it's the crowds, maybe it's the traffic, but that dude brandishing a fucking shotgun at the bottom of hidden canyon is the craziest thing I've seen all year. Put up a fence if you don't want people doing that, or just tell them if you care that much without fucking shoving them and brandishing a shotgun at em.
SkiBum.Open carry is legal. Open carry on your own property is legal. Telling a trespasser to leave your property with a gun is legal.
Could said situation have been handled different, sure. But nothing in video is out of line in the legal mindset. I bet that snowboarder doesn’t come back!
Also was funny he said Ikoner.

SlushSeasonHe was on a public road. Even if the boarder had crossed private property, he was no longer treaspassing and there's no justification to flag him with a shotgun
johnblazeHow do you now that was a public road?
skiermanIt doesn't matter. You jackasses have no idea what your rights are.
johnblazeThere is a difference if I'm off his property and on a public road vs on his driveway dipshit.

TOAST.he may not have done anything illegal bit let's not normalize pointing guns at people that are on your property that clearly have no malicious intent. No wonder people get shot for pulling into the wrong driveway or knocking on the wrong door.
skiermanIts illegal, you dumb fucks.
partyandBSif thats his driveway on his private property as he stated and those people were in fact trespassing then he was fully acting within the law.

skierman100% incorrect, you dumb fuck. You cannot point a firearm at someone because they're on your property. I'd say google it but you're clearly too fucking lazy to do so.
partyandBSlisten hear ya inbred piece of shit, i did google it and you most certainly can point a firearm at trespasser if you feel threatened of death or serious bodily injury. which the latter part of that would be a stretch but I bet a mormon jury supports ol elmer fudd on this one.
snowfinderThose skiers and snowboarder on the public road are a real threat.

HypeBeastY'all are missing the point. He needs to have a treat of imminent danger to a person's life to justify that level of force. What the old guy did was 100% illegal. It's insane the amount of gun owners who don't understand this concept. You can't protect property with firearms in most (if not all states?) states simply on the basis of preventing loss of said property or for trespassing, unless a person is inside your home. You shoot someone for being on your property and you will get convicted and you will go to prison.
johnblazeHe didn't use any force let alone deadly.
skiermanYou don't have to shoot someone for it to be a crime, you dumb fuck. I hope you idiots don't actually own firearms.

johnblazeNone of that fits this situation dummy. I hope you don't any books since you can't read.
