Ok I know this is a bit outside of the industry but heres my pitch. Farming is the perfect off season gig for skiers. Keeps you fit, outside, and its damn satisfying work. Everyday is different, lots of variety to the work and I promise you will learn a lot about things you had no understanding of before (unless you have indeed farmed before). - Job runs from May-ish to November-ish but there is some flexibility
- Full time - weeks can run towards 50 hours during the busy season
- Good interpersonal skills and team oriented attitude required
- Work can be very intense at times so experience in manual labor or trades is a plus
- Small engine operation, tractor/equipment experience is a plus
- Unlimited produce is a perk of the job
- Pay is 15-17/hr depending on experience
