Is training like a bodybuilder like Sam Sulek etc optimal for skiing? Obviously I get that the most optimal would be an athletic build but training with more intensity and cardio I would believe would be best?

the best ski training would be increasing tendon/ligament strength and health, explosive lifts, and plyometrics. doing 400 pound slow squats will help, but moving 225 fast would be more optimal

Honestly do which ever training you enjoy. Body builder exercises will help your skiing, maybe not as much as a pure focus on explosive movements and plyometrics, but u don’t only have to focus on skiing.
