Yo NS, do you guys ever just draw a pair of skis and make your own topsheet.. if so send some pics
Here are some of mine from projects I did at school for graphic design

CantThinkOfaNameLooks like ass bro!
BallClapperDo better then.
porkch0pflower wood grain smoking skull graphic is pretty epic
Voyage86Here’s a couple of my favorites
IsaacNW82Pipe gun looks sick. Aligning the pinstripe perfectly would be a nightmare, but otherwise this would be a very cool ski to see built
turboplugThese are some skis I designed like 7 years ago but still think they dope asf
ZenyattaKickThis is my favorite fucking thread ever! Plz keep this going
Voyage86ya, i really like centered lines in my designs. it’s a bummer that there is no good way to align them properly in reality. maybe i gata find a way to put the lines on the core blank and use a see through top sheet color with graphic cutouts layed on. like surfboards
steez_apprenticethe surface mainio topsheet is one of my favorite topsheets ever

ReturnToMonkeyWhat about somehow painting the line on after the skis are done to ensure it's aligned right? Surely there's something that would stay better than sharpie/regular paint, like an epoxy based paint maybe?
Voyage86i mean, anything you have that isn’t under the epoxy will get run down. you can’t save paint or stickers of any kind from metal edges running over your skis.
ReturnToMonkeyYeah that's valid. Could try mechanically engraving a shallow groove and filling it in with colored epoxy. I know it still is less durable and probably hard to get a consistent depth without CNC, but if companies can get away with die cut bases, the topsheet can surely have a little of that action?
Voyage86ya that’s a really good idea. made me think of this. if you have one top sheet under another and then shave down the top to see the sheet under it you could have perfect straight lines and the same durability. would for sure need to be done by a machine but it would be way more consistent.
ReturnToMonkeyHow do you mean? Like leave a ridge or something?
ZenyattaKickI truthfully think this would go hard as a graphic
Voyage86nah it would just be a super slight indent. like put two different color pieces of paper on top of each other and then peel a line off the top sheet of paper so the bottom on is showing. same concept except with different color top sheets layered on top.
ReturnToMonkeyOh yeah I see that would work well except snow probably would pack in, so you'd probably not want the primary color to be white haha
Voyage86maybe but the layers are so thin i think it would be hardly noticeable, also you’d probably cover it up with epoxy again anyways.
ReturnToMonkeyOh true I could see that working well. Wish I had the resources to make a bunch of skis to try this stuff out. Id make all the top sheets in this thread
