Bounce between the deathwish 104 and Meridian 107 but typically ski something different every trip depending on the conditions

take 99 blades and meridians 107 to Tahoe

My daily for a good chunk of a season were 125s. Im on the train that as long as you enjoy the ski, ski it. You may not have a good time when its a literal sheet of ice, but big skis are fun.

I have 86 faction dictators that are real good on the east coast. I switch out skis daily though and telemark here and there so its nearly always different.

I would ride wider skis in the park if I had more money. companies are charging like $100+ for an increase of 10mm underfoot

That's crazy. They're probably using the same stock for both skis and just cutting off more of it on the narrower skis

I wonder if we're going to see higher prices across the board on 2025 models to make up for the lack of sales this year? I'm sure ski sales are still high in other parts of the US but here in NY it's not even worth buying a new set of sticks this season unless you really need them. My local shop has seen a huge decline in sales due to the lack of snow

That is why I've been riding Fatypus for so long. Generally speaking yeah I pay more per pair of skis than some bigger brands but the quality from independent brands is significantly better than mass produced. That being said the price gap between different models with different waist widths is closer. I can buy a pair of 92mm skis for the same price as a pair of 140mm skis. if you look at moment's line up its a $20 price difference at most between different models. Same is true for the most part of ON3P's skis. That was a long winded way of saying, buy into smaller brands. Obviously you're going to beat the shit out of park skis so if you truly are looking for a wide park ski try looking at the used market or spend the extra money on a smaller brand that is better quality.

They just dropped. Give it a month and they’ll be $499 like every other years been with their mass produced skis.

What are the general MSRPs like in the US?

Here in scandiland it has been normalised with $800-1100 for big brand freeride skis. K2 is the only ones keeping it a bit lower. Most boutique brands are at the cheaper end of the spectrum now. Next year a lot of skis are in the $1k-1300

Depends completely on the brand and what you’re getting. The bent 120 can be had pretty easily for $499-600 depending on sales and sizes.



my moment ghost trains which are a far more limited were $949 but that’s a handmade ski produced in the us. The atomics are mass produced by machines.

95-100 makes sense most days, unless you can ski every day it snows. Come fight me in the parking lot.

I remember when i bought a pair of night trains in the $500-600 range.

Also, damn skis are cheap in the us. Well, indie brands seems to be roughly the same.

I'm pretty much 50% on my 108's and 50% on my 125's. IMO that combo out west is pretty killer.

When I lived out east I was like 80% on ~100's and 20% on the widest skis I could get my hands on. Paradoxically, I think the stupid wide skis are actually amazing out east because they keep you above the boilerplate layer thats often under the pow on eastern storm days
