Replying to Trimming goggle foam?

Hey everyone, I have a pair of Smith I/O that I've been using since 2016, but an issue I've always had is that with my helmet the goggles get pushed down and squeeze my nose tight enough to make it hard to breathe out of. It's super annoying, never really did anything about it and would just rock sunglasses instead. But on colder days that's kinda ass. Don't really want to spend on a new pair of goggles, but I heard potentially trimming the foam on the goggles could help. Anyone have any experience with this and know how, or should I just bite the bullet and get new goggles? They don't really make lenses for the OG I/O anymore anyways so new gogs might be worth it. Appreciate any help
