Zipfit new customer

Recently wanted to make an upgrade to my boot setup, which is currently a 2023 k2 method. I have skied Intuition Pro liners and preferred the feel over the cheaper method liner, but I had to pick this boot up quickly for a trip. The issue I've been having is that my current boots are slightly too loose, especially when wearing thinner socks. A size down is what I had previously, same shell and everything, and even with excessive punching and molding, it was unbearable to ski. These new methods, being the same shell and all, now feel ever so slightly too large, and lack heel lock. I did a solid amount of research on Zipfit freeride liners, and hopefully, this will be a good solution. Is this the right purchase to be made? Or am I better off opting for a completely different shell via bootfitter? My justification for the purchase of new liners is that I might as well use the shell I have now...

I personally don't have experience with them but I have a friend who RAVES about them. Has me convinced to buy them. Super expensive though, even with the industry discount.

I got mine for $400 shipped, which I think is quite the good price. If you look around online you can get some decent deals.

100% the correct choice. you can also always get volume reducers like a shim that goes under your foot bed to raise it and other foam pieces that can stick into your liner or boot and fill space in anyplace you need. it’s not rocket science, just identify a place you need less volume and order a shim from amazon and try it out.

Don't you need someone to fit them for your shells, adding or removing the cork stuff for your particular needs?

Just curious, do you have a pair? I think I already preemptively might buy some extra cork, just in case. I also plan on getting them correctly fitted. I really hope they can fill out the shell.

If you dropped $500 on liners you should have just gotten fitted correctly for another $200 max and been set. What I've found is the full tilt 102 mold does not provide great heel lock. I think it has to do with the lack of asymmetrical molding of the liner and the boat shape type of shell. Two piece boots provided me with a lot more support and heel hold. Chances are it'll help but you'll want to get fitted for new shells.

Thanks, I'll probably end up doing exactly that. And hold onto the liners of course

i do not have a pair but the amount of people i know who swear by them is enough for me to be able to hands down recommend them to anyone.i would for sure recommend getting them fitted by somome if this is your first time

I'm really hoping it's not the shell--but maybe I'll have to get refitted.

Just got the Zipfit Freeride liners, they are awesome for heel hold and keep me locked in a serious amount. Unfortunately, the tongue did not come with enough cork in it for my skinny lower legs and I still have volume I need to fill. The cork is available from them but really pricey with zero quantity discount if trying to order multiple tubes which seems whack

Dude the HEEL LOCK is crazy good, they are a PITA to break in but they are starting to feel better.

I have a low volume foot, and like you wanted to fill volume in my boot. The bootfitter told me to get the HV zipfit, as its the same zipfit just with more cork. This def helped as it feels like my boot is filled out more.

Previously, my old packed out liner was filled with butterfly wrap foam, shims, spoilers and heel lifts to fill volume. I am happy with my zipfit purchase so far. Im sure in two days ill be even more stoked.

Just got some ZipFit GFTs for my Hawx Ultra XTD boots, even though the stock liner wasn't that packed I had some heel movement I didn't want,put the ZipFit in and just standing in the boots I can tell my heel is going nowhere, can't wait to ski 'em now!

I know it sounds stupid but my skiing progressed noticeably when I upgraded to a Zipfit GFT for my hybrid boots. I have skinny, high-arch feet and for the first time my ankles felt locked in without having to crush my ankle/instep with the buckles. Previously if I was blasting through crud/chop, I would feel very out of control because my skis would wander a bit due to the play in my boots. With the zips I was maintaining full control and power transfer even when everything was rattling/shaking around underfoot. Because of this improvement I've been skiing and sending way harder. They are a bit annoying to put on at first, but you get used to it pretty quickly.

Best skiing upgrade I've made so far. I got mine from olympic bootfitters at squaw - can't recommend that shop enough if you are in the area.

Have LV garas in a Lange xt3 LV, I should have bought the higher volume ones because I needed a good amount of cork but now they are just about perfect. Unfortunately probably looking to downsize my boot next season and try a worked over 25 since my foot fits so easily in a 26
