Trying to brainwash gf with cool ski movies and need some more mass appealing ones for my list. We watched all the carnage movies awhile back and she liked those so we are off to a good start

I think it could be to early, but she needs to see sammy carlson(yup, kamase,…) or something more easy like reflection by movement, or the art of recreation by level 1

start with propoganda, 1242 etc all poor boyz theory 3, level 1, then get into the tech urban movies from forre, real skifi, bunch and Nipwitz. Then TGP 1-6 and traveling circus, 4bi9, Hoodcrew, Voleurz, davids fd 3 part series, jake carneys stuff, all seasons of SLVSH. Hunting Yeti super og backcountry. Sammy Cs and of course keesh, kimbo all the ruka edits.

My girl really resonated with all/mostly girl ski movies. I think her seeing other women into skiing big lines made her realize she can do it too.

I think the faction movie "The Collective" from a couple years ago is a solid all around movie and great for acclimating new people to the ski scene. It's got park and pow, cool locations, good music, and a rad women's segment.

I’d mix in two approaches, 1 being female- only ski vids and segs (old Ingrid backstrom segs go crazy, In Your Dreams by Laura obermeyer is gas, etc.) and 2 being high-ish production value movies with lots of skiing disciplines. I generally show my friends Faction, Strictly and Level1, and going further into the realm of Carnage / Forre / The Bunch generally is where people not in touch with freeskiing lose interest. There’s lots of good shit out there so good luck

also bonus points if you find films with female-only segs, shoutout to homies making those

she loves the backcountry type movies, feel like its probably just more approachable for where she's at. we watched child labor and I could tell she was kind of lost, but she happily sat through it. I feel like her not understanding the tricks it probably just looked like crazy homeless dudes flailing around and jumping off buildings
