Bindings that don’t pre-release

Are there any bindings on the same level as pivots in terms of pre-release prevention? I have some griffons and I usually have to go 2-3 din levels higher than I would on pivots to avoid pre release on lips and rails.

The old Salomon stg had good elasticity. I’ve been running my tyrolias at the same din I’ve always ran and haven’t really had any issues

Also I’ll add any binding will prerelease under the right conditions. It’s a matter of safely turning your din up half notches until you don’t release unexpectedly.

Pre-release prevention is mostly correlated with elasticity. Essentially how much your boot can move in the binding before it pops out. The pivot has the most heal elasticity (28mm) and 40mm of toe elasticity. Thus the "pre-release prevention."
However, the Salomon STH2 has 52mm of toe elasticity and 16mm of heal elasticity.
Since there's more in the toe and less in the heal, solly's have a different feel, but IMO are just as good as pivots with a lot more adjustability (toe height adjustment and a long heal track).
Every other binding on the market has less elasticity so will likely have a greater likelihood to pre-release at a given DIN.

Honestly most 13+ din bindings are going to be just fine if you set them up properly. Your forward pressure or AFD adjustment is probably off if you're prereleasing with an appropriate DIN.

the foreword pressure is good, but now that you mention it I may have forgotten the AFD adjustment when I set these up. I’ll check that and see if they stop pre releasing
