Well since some of you seemed to enjoy my Breckenridge trip post figured I’d do another for beaver creek. headed over there on the 15th for 10 days and will be my first time there.
any tips, tricks, suggestions, insider secrets, places I should visit etc are more than welcome so post up.
skis are packed up. I’m taking moment wildcat 108’s and moment ghost trains.
Left Denver at 11am. Got to beaver at 4pm. Dear god that drive sucked. Insane traffic because of the road conditions. Got stuck next to copper for like 45 mins. That was fun to watch. The resort looks really cool.

Man honestly absolutely love it. Granted snow is amazing and crowds have been super low.
I’ve really only explored arrowhead and gulch side so far. I’m trying to slowly work my way across the mountains. I try to hit every run I can just to experience the place.
had a great late afternoon drink with the gf before she had the hardest and longest run of her life. That was interesting
Man just wasn’t feeling it today. Was sunny in the morning and projected to be warm so I underdressed. Was fucking freezing. Had a dark visor too and couldn’t see shit by 11am. Clouds came out thick.
Still banged out a decent amount of runs but overall took it pretty chill. Finally tried one of the cookies. Wasn’t impressed

these magical meadows will provide epic pow turns, but remember you only get one run, so you have to get it right...
I was with Sigrun, we stopped in the meadow, took off our jackets in the warm sun and used them for sitting, we thoroughly enjoyed lunch and sex in nature.

Appreciate the tip. Think I’m busting the ghost trains out again tomorrow. Probably not ideal conditions but it’s my last day so I want to enjoy them some more.

when i was a grom they would hold competitions before each season where locals would come to the village and hand out cookies they baked. you could pull up, sample a ton of fresh warm cookies, and then vote on whose recipe would be used for the winter.

Had a really great final day. Was able to find some hidden untouched powder. Found a few places decently deep too.
headed home Tomorrow but can’t wait to come back. I personally really enjoyed beaver. Never got bored. I can understand if you live here you’d want to head other places but as a first time I never found myself wanting to go to vail. I could easily come back here more and not be bored. I feel like I have so much more to explore.

Not sure if you've done tahoe but the west shore is a beautiful drive past emerald bay. If you can do it mid week when its not busy its better but very nice.
Heavenly isn't my favorite but it has some of the best views of the lake and stateline/south lake is east to get around and plenty of shit to do so I get it. If you have a chance to make it to kirkwood your not stupid far from south lake and its on the epic. Kirkwood is a true gem.if you can get a day in there I'd highly recommend it.
