hi_vis360overall I give this one a 7/10. Like most ski videos these days it would have been better if it was 5 mins shorter. Just take out all the fish bones and monkeys and you’re there. Would love to see @TheBunch keep this style but focus a little more on the skiing with more of the weird jibby bc features, and throw in some street too!
hi_vis360I enjoyed this wayyy more than I thought I would. I was expecting “into the mind” part 2 but this was actually a pretty good watch.
what I didn’t like:
simply way too many clips of weird fish bones and monkeys and shit. There should have been 0. I get that there is some sort of evolution narrative going on here, but it feels like a distraction from all the good stuff going on. It’s fake deep.
the ski clips were mostly pretty mellow, and didn’t feel like the focus of the video. It’s a ski movie and the focus should still be cool ski tricks
some of the drone shots were a little nauseating, and it felt like there was very little variety in the filming style
what I did like:
there weren’t any long, drawn out talking scenes like in some of the more recent bunch vids. There was no talking at all! This really kept the flow going, there weren’t any parts that felt slow
most of the drone work is actually very good, and I usually hate drones
the way some of the ski clips are framed is legitimately crazy artistic. Some of the pond skim clips especially. The night ski seg was well done too. The creativity that has made the bunch great is still there in lots of the spot selection and filming style. The way the light and colors progress from one part of the video to the next is so well done, like they make snow look so cool.
the soundtrack is pretty fire, really like the trippy dubsteppy vibes going on, it compliments the video content perfectly

disappointmettThe use of AI b-roll was kinda jarring for me if it is AI. If they actually paid an artist for it then I'm cool with it but it was a lot.
