I have a pair of 171cm Tom Wallisch Pros with Marker Squires, one binding is missing a brake plate but is in otherwise near-perfect condition. I moved on from these skis after only a few days on the snow and want to turn these into ski's for my ~5'6 girlfriend. Is trading at all viable? If so, where? Could these work for someone that size? Note: She does not ski park and is a decent second-season east coast skier. What could such a setup fetch today if I had to sell or trade? I need some help here! Thanks!
First off if you wanted to give them to your gf id say it's a fine length. I'm 5'6 and ride either a 171 or 175 depending on which skis I'm taking out. They're a light enough ski she shouldn't have any problems although I'd consider getting a new brake plate. If you were looking to sell don't expect huge returns on your investment. Most people aren't going to spend too dollar on used skis even if you haven't used them much. You can look on the b/s/t forum on here and see what others have sold theirs for and judge based off that. Keep in mind shipping cost and shit are ridiculous. Best bet would be find someone local to you who would buy them. I would avoid selling/trading to a shop. Generally in my experience they're going to royally low ball you to maximize their profit reselling them.
