you can only see cars in that picture kevin. in the caravan alone, there was...um, i think 17 of us? probably more, i never really got a good count. that was just our caravan. in totaly i think there was like 67 cars there. not all imprezas though. probably about 20 GC8's (old style like mine), 15 WRX's, 1 new STI, about 10 legacy's (old, new, outback, etc) and a ton of old schoolers (like 15). Those were so badass. I'll get some pics up at work tonight, SO much more hardcore off roaders than your little toyota club. these guys are hardcore.

Hopefully I can get a hold of the post office tomorrow before its sent to god damn SAN FRANCISCO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GOD FUCKING DAMN SHIT BITCH HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!

My cd player. Sent to me in kirkland. Not deliverable for some reason. No return address on it (cause the guy is R E T A R D E D). They can't just figure out whats wrong with the address and fix it, cause its obviously supposed to be somewhere in Kirkland. Oh no. No no NO NO no no. Heaven forbid. Instead, they send it to some 'Mail Recovery Center'. Where that is, nobody knows. THE FUCKING GOD DAMN UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE DOES NOT KNOW!!!!!!! I swear to god, I called them, and they do not know where it is. The tracking was updated today, a week after it left Federal Way to go god knows where. I assumed it was going to San Fransisco, the closest Mail Recovery Center. Today....it updated.....

'Your item was processed and left our SAINT PAUL, MN facility on July 23, 2003'

Notice the letters 'M' and 'N'. Those are an abbreviation for FUCKING GOD DAMN BITCH SHIT FUCKING MINNESOTA!!!!!!!!! It's not even stopping there!!!! It was processed and LEFT!!! Where the FUCK is my CD player going?!?!?! GUAM?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!

I'm calling the post office again today when I get home from school. I have the tracking number at least, so it shouldn't get LOST. Hopefully I can get them to send it back. The guy is in Salt Lake City right now, he'll be back tonight.

Yeah, so the Mail Recovery Center IS in St Paul. So at least its reached its destination...well, I hope it has. The United States Postal Service Customer Support does NOT know the phone number to the Mail Recovery Center however. Only the address. Fuckers. I have to try to get a hold of the St Paul main post office (which is long distance of course, oh sure I can use my cell phone cause its free, but I don't get service at my house) and see if they have the god damn number. I guess what they do there, is open packages, and look for anything with an address, like a check, etc. THis is just a fucking CD player. THey'll probably be like 'Oh, subaru CD player. Why subaru made this. Why, Subaru is owned by Fuji Heavy Industries'.....off to Japan it goes, I can see it now.

On a much happier note, I finished my newest mod today! I'll take pics with Kevins camera this weekend.

Engine Ground. $25 for 11 feet of 8-gauge blue wire, 4 LARGE gold ring connectors, and a bunch of cheaper ones. (the gold ones were $11 for four, but I got them free from Car Toys!). This added a LOT more power than I thought it would (a lot being SOME when I thought it would be NONE). The lag at 3200rpm is GONE completely! Perfect smooth linear acceleration. Definately a little more kick, although its very small. But it is noticable. Especially right around 4000-5000 rpm in 3rd gear. Holy shit. Scary fast. The engine idles about 750 rpm lower now too! It used to idea right around 1500, not its under 1000. That was the wierdest thing! And my engine is simply BLING BLING now!!!

New mod today, it's a big one:

20mm FHI rear sway bar. Stiffens up the rear end, and prevents body roll. I had a 13mm bar stock. This baby is fucking ILL. turns SO hard now!

Ok, so my last post. I was gonna type how I checked the tracking, and it looked like it had gone through federal way yesterday, so I was prolly gonna get it today. The USPS NEVER contacted me that they got my letter or anything, I was going to call today. But, as soon as I started typing my post....the doorbell rang!!! What had happened, was the guy who sent it printed my address out, then taped it on the package. But only taped it on the top and bottom......so it just ripped off when it was in kirkland (cause thats how far it got originally).

So Sean is all happy and excited for his new radio....intalls it in his car, puts a CD in....GRRRRRRIIIIINNNDDDDDDDD. Takes about 5 minutes to take the CD in....ok, maybe its just slow. Hmmm, its not playing. Wierd. Hmm it won't eject the CD. FUCK ME. But I'm a genious, and good with a screwdriver.....

Took the WHOLE thing apart, found the motor that takes the CD in and out, and discovered it was dislodged slightly, put it back in place, observed the means of illumination for future modification, put everything back together, popped it in my car.....

And everything works great!!!!! Although it probably has less wattage then my old CD player, it sounds SO much better! Has EQ on bass, mid, and treble, not just bass and treble. Much much cleared sound, and much more bass without subs then my old one, although it distorts much sooner due to the lower wattage. But I've got a 100 watt alpine I'm going to be amping my speakers with, so no problem there. It has CD, which takes in and puts out the CD a LOT faster then the old one....zzzoooom! Tape, which works just fine. FM/AM radio, 6 presets, works great. And Weather Band Radio!!!!!!!!! Constant weather broadcast 24hrs a day! A few different channels too! So that's cool! AND it matches my interior PERFECT. The silverish color is identical to the top of my dash. So I think I'm gonna be gettin some paint in a few weeks to do all my dash trim/vents, etc. Not aluminum anymore, I think that will clash with the tan. I'm gonna do like the CD player, almost a bronzish silverish grey. Mostly silverish, but barely sorta bronzish. It'll look real slick. And then I'm gonna get some matching fabric to do the side panels, instead of blue, for now. Blue would looks way too clashy with the tans. But a nice dark grey should look really slick! Tomorrow I'm going to the Car Toys tent sale, to look for an RCA adapter to hook my subs back up, and I might possible buy some better subs depending on what they have and the price.

Next up.....

MOMO Shift knob and MAF adapter should be arriving soon. Then I just gotta convince Rowen to buy my panel K&N filter, so I can buy a cone one to put on my MAF. Then the dash trim and fabric will come, but my new sub box should be done in a few days hopefully!!!!

Started LED conversion today....kevin got to experience it...fuck. It was retarded, I fucked it all up, flung the soldering iron at my leg 3 times, and grabbed the iron with my finger. Got two LEDs on and working though!!!!

Until I fucking put it back in my car then one stopped.....but I just have to tape it up so wires dont touch inside. Knob/filter adapter to arrive tomorrow or saturday!

finished LED conversion on my CD player, and climate contols. All working perfectly. The lighting is uneven is SOME spots on the CD player, but not bad and easily fixable. The climate controls are VERY dim. I rigged up 'new lights' that are LEDs with resistors that plug right in just like the original bulbs. very easy, and works great. I need to put some foil in or something to help reflect the light around cause damn its dim.

MOMO shift knob arrived today, it's so fucking perfect...I've found my match. The STI Titanium was a good fling, but I've found my soul mate. Much smaller than I thought (which is a HUGE plus!) looks great, no 'scuffs' as it was described, oh man, I love it! And it uses set screws, so tomorrow I can saw my stick down to make it shorter! Plus the knob already sits like a THOUSAND times shorter! It does slightly smell like cigarettes, but not bad (my dad couldn't even smell it).

Also got my MAF adapter, gonna go get a new filter tomorrow (If I can find the right one).

today i put 4000 lbs of ballast in my boat. its got a 5.8 liter v8 and it still couldnt handle it. the wake was fucking huge. i had to take some weight out of it cus water kept coming over the bow, and i didnt want it to get my amps and subs wet.
