I don’t know whether you’ll think this is a good thing but with Booster’s patent expiring on elasticated ski boot straps, booster might disappear for good if brands start integrating it into more boots…because it works to fix fit issues with skinny calves and wide boot openings.

I've thought about this but I honestly don't think most people pay attention to whatever stock strap is on their boot, and that elastic straps are probably only going to come on the higher end models just like buckle straps already do.
Noticed they added one to the K2 Revolve TBL this year and the outermost part of the strap is still a very stiff rubber-like material that seems counter intuitive to the elastic bands under it.

I agree that most don’t know or care about the strap on their boot and don’t think about or need that level of additional fit.
I agree that you will likely only see it on higher end boots but the customer for those are what I would say/imagine are the majority of the customers of Booster. That’s what I meant by more boots, more boots…that would normally have booster straps attached previously, will come with it stock, which will cut into boosters sales.
I like them and have them on my krypton’s but They really aren’t made very well. I think atomic has a patent on them which may be why there aren’t better products on the market. I just banged my shin this morning with the metal piece from the booster strap. It is way heavier than necessary.
I got new boots and didn’t feel like the straps i had tightened over the liner enough and it felt weird, i got some boosters and it made the boot flex rounder if that makes sense.
they might be a gimmick, but i genuenly would rather pay for that strap than the velcro shit that comes on most boots

Oh that makes sense. I always wondered why don't more companies have better power straps like Booster. Thats hype that soon a lot more boots will have elastic stock straps
when i needed braces to walk, i always used booster straps ...
seriously though, you kids are skiing on ancient designed plastic boots for racing...
strapping up your brace boots with plaid , thatll make it freestyle for sure!
