New Dalbello cabrio LV review/test

Anyone tried the new cabrio lv ?

Ordered lv free 130 and i have to return it.. I like the way the flex but too much pressure on my foot with the new 45° anckle buckle. More roomy in the anckle than my curent krypton. Definitlly desapointed.

Did you go to a boot fitter? Ordering boots online is sketch as so I wouldn't knock the boot because it didn't fit your feet

I'm on krypton and lupo for years and nerver need bootfitting with theses boots for my feet so i was thinking the same for the cabrio lv.. but awful fit

Got the same one, lv free 130, same problem with the pressure from the top, but only in the right boot. Other than that they are perfect. Ended up pulling a Mcguyver and cut a piece from the underside of the tongue where it's sticking out the most below the buckle. Seems to fit great now, will give them a shot tomorrow.

Bummer to hear about the pressure issues. I was hoping these could be a replacement for my Lupo 130Cs which have some pretty chewed up inserts/soles and are on their second liner. Guess I’ll either have to find a pair to try on in person or go back to the combo of Full Tilts (or the new K2 version) and a dedicated touring boot.

if you get the alpine version, you need to add the "blocco flex" in the rear of spine. the tour version of the carbio skis better for this reason. touring version comes stock with the blocco flex installed, keeps the boot from over flexing. skis way better. i have the touring lite shell with my alpine tongue on it right now. really good.

One is made of a dense rubber like material (at least the ones I've seen in Lange boots), which I'm assuming is the one in the video. Marketed as absorbing more impact and shock, used in FT/K2 Flex and some 'all mountain' category boots.

The other is made of a much lighter and firmer, almost brittle like material. Honestly feels quite flimsy and reminds me of styrofoam. Can confirm the 2024 Il Moro Pros I ordered came with only this one and not the above 'shock absorbing' one. Was also missing the blocco flex inserts. Combined with the fact the new fit doesn't work for my feet any more, sadly, it appears I'll be moving on from Dalbello once my Krypton 130s are done, unless they go back to the previous last in the distant future.

old last was around for 10 years, expect the same for cabrio.

If your foot fits a boot right out of the box there is a good chance its too big.
