yungskiggafound a really good deal on some marker dukes i wanna get for resort and a bit of touring but they are 125 brakes and my skis are 103. is it gonna be a problem?
Non_State_ActorGetting Dukes or huge brakes? Both are problems just slightly different.
What are you trying to do? What's your current setup?
hamsauceWill you be able to ski on them? Yes. Will you catch your brakes on your pants and other ski? Also yes. Would i get that wide of brakes for a 103 ski? Absolutely not. Would i get frame bindings ever? Absolutely not.
If you buy those, you will sell them after one tour, and you will have an extra set of holes in your skis. For your use case:
Cast > Duke PT > Shift > Daymaker > Frames
switch the shift and daymaker depending on how much touring youl be doing.
yungskiggawhat? why would i sell them? i dont get it. might change brakes if necessary but why are u putting duke on #2 and then telling me im gonna sell them after one tour?
yungskiggai have a Line SFB 107 for resort which i really enjoy so I am mainly still gonna be using that ski, but i also wanted a chargier ski that is gonna be stiffer which im also gonna be using for touring. (my first touring setup ever). my friends got me a pair of dps koalas 103 for my bday and Im looking for a binding for it. I know CAST is better but its 700 euros in europe. the dukes I found are 350. if it was gonna be my daily driver i would defo get a cast but if im gonna be using another ski mainly so im not sure i wanna drop so much money for a ski im not gonna use that often. thoughts?
