I worked over at Moment skis this summer and had a blast, got paid in store credit, and splurged on some skis. Got myself a Frankenski in 182cm because I thought it was the coolest thing ever and I still do. Downside is I’m about 6’2 (186ish cm), which feels like a pretty big deal taller than the Frank at 182cm. Is it worth it to keep them and ski? Will they ski longer maybe and can I make due or should I pass them down to my shorter brother?
In my opinion, a good ski length should be about your height. I think it’s a fine ski length for you, and you should keep them cause they are sick skis
I don't think it's a big deal to ride a park ski that's 4cm shorter than you are. It comes down to preference. Also depends on how they measure the length.

Moments measure true, the 182 will measure 182 in a straight tape pull.
I think they're fine OP, if you feel like they ski too short after a few days on them give 'em to your bro?
Kinda sus they paid you in store credit versus nothing at all.
Dude honestly, I don’t really care if I was paid in store credit or not. For a someone like me who’s young and wants to work in the industry in the future, hands on work experience at a small brand is great, so I’m definitely happy I did it regardless. Not everything is about money.
if you are skimmy they will be fine, if you are a heavier dude they might feel short.
I'm 6'3 and ride 182/184 for park, but I'm also skinny so shorter skis don't feel to small typically, some might think they look small but idgaf.

wait so you worked a whole summer for one pair of skis?
DlonettiPoor op just wanted some advice on ski length and is getting personally attacked
that's NS for ya lmao
OP, how much do you weigh? those will be fine regardless but especially if you're light. people don't tend to account for weight as much as they should when analyzing ski sizes

i think you're good. go remind yourself what 4cm is on a ruler, it's really not much length difference you're worried over. also it's a park ski, it's not like you were buying these to point them down chutes and shit

Eh I'm with HypeBeast on this one. I get your perspective, but you need to get paid for your work. If you want to make a living in the industry, its going to be hard to negotiate your wage when there's always another kid willing to work some shady store credit "internship" arrangement.
BTW I think 182 would ski a little short for you, but that might be totally fine if you like a quick, reactive ski and prioritize that over stability

Not trying to rag on you. Simply pointing out that businesses take advantage of unpaid interns all the time and get away with it because the interns don't know any better. Unless your internship met that test, then it was illegal. You're young and impressionable. Your response is the exact mindset that perpetuates this sort of thing. Marginalized groups world wide always find a way to justify their situation, to cope with their decision (or lack of) to be there.
I'm not saying this was illegal, however your defensive response makes this suspect- rather than saying, "yeah it meets this this and this. It's an internship."
@Moment can you clarify on this intern test so we can all stop arguing about hypotheticals?
I made some 182 true length Poachers work at 6'6" for a season. Butters and high speeds were the only times I really felt the lack of length, I still keep them around as rail beaters. IMO just send it.
