Woody.I'd disagree. Skiing is trending towards 1080p or higher. Almost all of the major films and edits this year were shot in 1080p or higher. With the exception of the child labor and suede movie. full hd and higher seems to be becoming the norm
weastcoatChild labor is on 1080 60p now if I remember correctly from the Garrett podcast he said they’re using an ac160 now. At least for most shots.
Woody.yah youre definetly right. you can see the ac in a couple broll shots. the youtube upload is in 1080 60 too

bogustI just got my HPX170 and for some reason it has a wired blue green filter that I cant fix. like colors that are red show as blue and most white light is green
weastcoatShit looks so nice. Even though it’s played out I’m gonna keep using my 720 60p hmc, love how it’s got that perfect mix of sharpness and fluidity but a touch of vintage to it too, especially when I turn the noise reduction all the way down (gets super grainy). Somewhat looks like it’s one of those film cameras they would do movies with back in the 80s or 90s lol
sindreplassentrue but they have been using a hvx in previous videos and most other crews do so too. youtube fuck up 720 footage so bad so a lot of crews upscale their footy to 1080 or 4k to make it look it better. if you look at most major skate/snow/ski vids, are most edits shot on either hvx or hpx. been those cams for a minute so excited to see what’s next. ac160 or dvx200 looks sick ngl
steez_apprenticehow much does a hpx with a fisheye go these days?
bogustI paid about $580 for my setup but there is some stuff wrong with it
