Why is it still so warm in California

Going to mammoth in late November and I'm worried it'll suck. it's way too warm and there hasn't really been any legit snowfall. someone give me some reassurance

Can’t remember many times there wasn’t skiing in November out here, doesn’t mean a lot will be open. Ur prob gonna ski chair 23 all day long and find unlimited mini golf and windlips

All it takes is one storm. I'll be up there during Thanksgiving regardless, even if there is no skiing, just to see some cold temps.

Yes that 6" on top of dirt and rocks is very promising for your trip in 3 weeks.

Bday is the 1st. Wanted to be skiing. Tahoe specifically so I could go to moment as well.

ended up booking beaver creek in Jan as a back up.

I guess that makes sense. Just extremely early season to plan a trip. I think heavenly didn't open till the middle of December 2 seasons ago? It is pretty common. And Thanksgiving is usually the earliest they open.

at least you can hit up moment though

Opening day is supposed to be the 17th of this month. It looks like they’ll likely open on time. Just a matter of how much is really opening. I’m suppose to stay at timber lodge by the gondola but they’re saying possibly only Cali lodge and lifts open.
