Replying to Whiteface

Potentially will be attending SLU and it’s about 2hrs from the face. Skied there with family on a weekday but was wondering if there’s actually a scene there on weekends? Will there be with the new parks setup? Or would it be worth it to drive the same distance/time to somewhere else near Montreal? I loved Williams and UVM but both r insanely expensive and i’ll be getting virtually no merit or financial aid from either. I’d also be able to row at SLU which would give me a lil built in support network. Just wondering the thoughts on skiing cause it’s not the end all be all but it’s a consideration?
