backbarveyi have a pair of the 1st on3p kartel 98s that ive had for years. sadly theyve now been mounted 3 times 9( (currently with marker dukes) but im getting new skis and want to just make it a dedicated park ski with pivots. Im wondering how terrible an idea that is considering theyve been mounted 3 times now around recommended mount point. Was wondering if mounting them +2 from rec would be enough to keep them fairly solid considering theyre more durable than most other brands. ive had no experience with mounting more than 3 times so if anyone has, let me know
egirl.ski(think about posting in gear talk next time)
Shops might decline to mount, but if the holes are over 1cm from all other holes, the binding shouldn’t really be less secure.
The structure of the ski might me compromised slightly, but that’s just the risk you take.
Make sure the holes are plugged with the professional plastic plugs though, you want to keep water out.
mikemmount em and find out. Have a pair of noridca omws with 6 mounts if you are interested

MainahShops *will* decline to mount lol. but yea I would go for it if you can line it up in a way that avoids other holes by at least 1cm. Hammer down.
