In the last month or so I've been having the worst time trying to watch any videos posted on Newschoolers. There's no problem playing a YouTube embed on this website or streaming anything else. Any video (including the ads that play before every video) that is posted to NS will play for 5-10 seconds then buffer for 30 seconds plus. It's so disruptive that I don't even bother watching anything on here that's not an embed. My internet is slow, but this particular streaming issue only occurs on NS.
Clearing Cache & Cookies: Sometimes, the browser holds onto too much data, slowing things down.
Switching Browsers: If you're loyal to one browser, it might be time to have an affair. Some browsers handle video content differently.
Disabling Extensions: Especially ad blockers. They can interfere with video playback. (Ironically, they might even block the ads that play smoothly while the actual video doesn’t.)
Internet Speed Check: A quick check to ensure it's not on our end. Although, as the original post mentioned, other sites stream just fine.
