Hey guys,

new to the forum. I’m relatively new to park riding and snowboarding in general but I made this edit last year and I know it’s not perfect but just want to hear what you guys think.

in all honesty I wish I started skiing but I feel I’m in too deep now. One day I might switch to the two planks.

It was good, only thing is some of the clips look like they were either filmed too far away in wide angle or just too far away in general. If you film with a wide angle you wanna have full body on screen, little bit of headchop is fine and when you film normally don’t be afraid to use some zoom, it will make the rideouts look nicer

Im in the same boat, for years our park was super shitty but if you can get some sort of community going there and speak up, in our experience at least, it helps a lot. Me and a couple homies started to volunteer setting up the park and showed them that ppl fw park riding and eventually they got us some new features and stuff. Its still not the best but even just a couple new features helps a lot. Good luck boys.

Also you guys seem pretty young so don’t get bummed if resort management doesnt take you seriously, but if you want it, and theres a community of park riders there, they will listen eventually.

honestly I would try syncing landings with the song, and maybe try experimenting with all kinds of camera angles until you find some you like. Having a little variety can really spice up an edit.

looks like you've got some ski friends too. I know a guy who snowboarded originally and once he got the basics on skis he got really good really quickly. definitely translates a TON. Look at Marcus Kleveland on skis, or Matej on snowboard. They're a lot more interchangeable than you think. Give 2 planks a shot!

Exporting at 1440p 20-30bitrate, even if you are using 1080p base footage, might improve video quality, at least on youtube. This may not be 100% accurate and i don't have the technical knowledge about how the compression really operates, but it worked for my videos. Adding some color correction like temperature, hue ect can also improve the look of the video alot if that is something you want. Just keep at it, try different stuff in editor and make videos that you like.

As far as I can tell, increasing the bitrate to 30 definitely seems to help for youtube uploads

Yea, and exporting to 1440p apparently gives you better compression code in youtube, at least that what few videos that i watched said.

I worked Bisco and Peach fest when I was like 15 and I don’t think I’d call those festivals a good thing. I saw some shit that no 15 year olds should be seeing💀
